The only bad point I've found so far is windows 8. The app screen is a good idea like tablets'; overall, 8 is not good. The Aspire E1-572p is too good for windows 8 ; Only has 4Gb memory. i5 on windows 8 should have 6 - 8Gb min

an extremely simple cut down machine to do exactly what it was bought for

no DVD player made loading some software a challenge. First time with Windows 8 for us. Cannot see the advantages yet

Ideal laptop for our teenage daughter. Runs MS Office at excellent speed and does all she needs for non-school work too. She wanted lightweight, small and powerful. This Acer fits her requirements
