Acer Aspire V3-572PG-604M Notebook Review

Long-lasting allrounder. Lots of storage, suitable for gaming, long battery life, and a decent keyboard: the Aspire V3-572PG ticks all the check boxes for an allrounder notebook. How compelling is the overall package?

Good overall performance, Usable for gaming, Lots of storage, Very long battery life, Good input devices

Dim, reflective display with low viewing angle stability, No maintenance cover

Worth its weight in Gold

If you are a faithful Egg head, you will know that you can get a high end brand SSD with 120GB storage on sale for as low as $65~. Couple that with a cheap $20 caddy and you can move your OS to the SSD, place your HDD in the caddy and stick it in the...

This laptop has an i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 1TB storage, and a dedicated graphics card with 2GB of video memory, and a touch screen which works perfectly with Windows 8.1. And with that battery life? Wow, what a deal ; I couldn't be more pleased with the...

Initially, Windows 8 was a con for me. But after getting to use it in its latest rendition (8.1) with a touchscreen, I am sold. Makes for a nice computing experience ; The only real cons I have are the bloatware that has become so standard with pretty...

Pretty good but time will tell.

I recently switched from a Macbook 2009 so I haven't used much of Windows. That being said, OS X is much more responsive in terms of mousepad, and touch (in comparison to iPhone/iPads). My 2009 Macbook's trackpad was/is much more intuitive and...

Relatively fast laptop. Boot-up is usually pretty fast. I use it mainly for school and gaming. It does the job. I play LoL at 60-80fps maxed out (but then again LoL is not a very demanding game graphically). Touchscreen is really necessary for the...

Structural integrity is in question here. 6 screws have unscrewed from the bottom of my laptop. I'm dreading the day this thing decides to fall apart. I only started noticing that they were coming off when I started finding screws around my house ;...

Solid. but a little rough.

The unibody design on the bottom makes opening this guy up a little harder. switching out the HDD or wireless card or other component does take a bit of work. will update after more use.

First off let me say I really like this Laptop, it has a lot of great features, and the Gt 840m is better than nothing. just do not expect to be playing games on high settings. Minecraft is passable. It does have some hick ups playing larger files

No back light at this price point its silly not to ; no Dvd/cd though you can install one my unscrewing one screw. if you can find one ; Horrible horrible wifi. it may or may not work on your router. even though the device manager says its an qualcomm...

Great Computer for the Price!

I managed to get this when it was on sale for 599.99 (Everywhere else had it at 650-699). So getting a laptop with a dedicated card for SOME gaming in the range I purchased it in was a great value. Windows 8 might be a con for others, but I went in not...

Dedicated card ; Touchpad is Excellent (Though, I use a mouse more it's probably the only touchpad I haven't minded at all) ; Touchscreen is amazingly responsive ; Pretty snappy laptop even without a SSD

None at all (See other)

Very decent computer for the price

Generally very pleased. This is my second Acer - I previously had a cheap netbook that I was quite impressed with. Exactly what I was looking for in a desktop replacement - speedy enough for basic tasks, a discrete video card for some gaming, and a...

Decent specs for the price ; Capable video card (don't expect to drive a 1080p monitor for this price, but at native resolution, it's pretty peppy for mainstream games) ; Nice build quality ; Responsive touchscreen ; Touchpad is solidly built ; Battery...

Nothing I didn't know coming in ; Lots of bloatware. Like, LOTS ; Windows 8 - I fear change ; Wifi seems a tad sluggish ; Display suffers from poor viewing angles ; No optical drive - I just assumed it would have one, should have double-checked this

Very happy with this machine

Great machine best value available

Runs WoW on high setting at 55-60 FPS and Ghost at 60 FPS touch screen is pretty cool too. Machine seems to stay pretty cool for the most part with 2GB video card, 8 GB of RAM, and 1TB HDD defiantly the best value available

No CD-ROM but bought an external for $20 easy fix
