Acer Chromebook 14 for Work

For the business user who needs all-day battery life and MIL-SPEC–tested durability, the Acer Chromebook 14 for Work is one of the more powerful Chrome OS laptops we've seen. Its price, however, is firmly in Windows-laptop territory.

Core i5 processor and 8GB of memory deliver solid performance. Long battery life. Gorilla Glass 3 lid. Narrow screen bezel. Good selection of ports, including USB Type-C. MIL-STD 801G tested. Spill-resistant keyboard.

Pricey for a chromebook. 32GB of local storage. Single USB-C port. Top lid is prone to fingerprints.

The Acer Chromebook 14 gives you just about all the features and quality you need from a basic laptop, plus extra niceties like a metal body and almost 12 hours of battery life.

Affordable price. Almost 12 hours of battery life. Large 1080p HD screen. Metal body. 4GB of memory. Matte screen.

Acer Chromebook 14 review: A 14-inch Chromebook that looks expensive, but isn't

A large screen, a nice aluminum case and power to get you through a work day and then some -- all for less than $300.

The inexpensive Acer Chromebook 14's aluminum body is much nicer than the plastic competition. The matte-finish, 14-inch full HD IPS display is a great size for work and play, but still keeps this laptop's footprint small enough for commuting.

It has no SD or microSD card slot for expanding its 32GB of storage. The keyboard isn't backlit and shallow. Power users will want to step up to the Work version of this Chromebook or look elsewhere.

The Acer Chromebook 14 stands out for its stylish design and big screen at an affordable price. If you're looking for a classier Chromebook, this is it.

The Acer Chromebook 14 was released recently, and it touted some pretty impressive features. This Acer Chromebook 14 review puts those features to the test.

Design is top-notch, battery life is fantastic, the full HD screen is bright and looks very good.
