Expensive as configured ; Pricey Max-Q version of RTX 2080 Super GPU doesn't separate itself from the pack ; Short battery life

The Acer Predator Triton 500 is an attractive, feature-packed gaming laptop with a trim design and a cutting-edge high-refresh panel. Our hopped-up test unit is top-notch, but you might find better value in a model closer to its base configuration.

Upgraded with some subtle yet awesome enhancements - that include a 300Hz screen - and the serious specs here make this a gaming laptop delight.

Awesome design that includes Ethernet and multiple USB ports ; 300Hz panel is responsive and gorgeous ; Same easy-access Turbo/overclocking settings ; Comfortable keyboard with excellent RGB lighting

Middling battery life ; Chassis is still a fingerprint magnet

Better than before, thanks to a brilliant design, modern specs, and a seriously snazzy 300Hz panel. There are some minor compromises, but generally this laptop achieves its lofty gaming goals.
