Apple MacBook Leopard review

Introduced in the fall of 2006, the current version of Apple's 13-inch MacBook laptop was a revolutionary product, combining Intel's Core 2 Duo CPUs with Apple's much-lauded operating system. Add in Apple extras such as the iSight camera, Front Row...

Upgraded CPU for the same price; same great design; Leopard operating system.

Still no Express card or SD card slots; only more expensive models are available in black.

Apple has been content to issue minor periodic hardware updates to the 13-inch MacBook, but the modest performance gains and new Leopard OS keep it in our top tier of laptop recommendations.

Apple MacBook 2007 Model review: Apple MacBook 2007 Model

Apple MacBook 2007 Model

Upgraded CPU for the same price; same great design; built-in Webcam and remote control; adds 802.11n support.

Cutting-edge features are absent, including Intel's new Santa Rosa platform and LED-backlit displays.

Apple's rightfully popular 13-inch MacBook gets a decent incremental upgrade, but we're still looking forward to the next version.

Apple MacBook 13-inch White (Core 2 Duo)

Now that it's got an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, the Apple MacBook is one of the best budget laptops around.

Core 2 Duo upgrade completes the laptop line. Only one inch thick. Excellent performance. iSight Camera. More hard drive options. Front Row interface and remote.

DVD burner doesn't come standard. ; Watch the Apple MacBook Video Review!

Apple MacBook 2006 Model review

Now that the high-end MacBook Pro has Intel's Core 2 Duo CPU, it's high time the latest processor technology filtered down to Apple 's more consumer-friendly MacBook line. There are three MacBook models, one with a 1.83GHz CPU and two with 2.0GHz CPUs....

Cheaper than the MacBook Pro, with nearly comparable performance; great design; built-in Webcam and remote control; can run Windows XP via Boot Camp.

No ExpressCard slot or FireWire 800; lacks media card reader; only 90 days of toll-free technical support.

The new MacBook, updated to Intel's Core 2 Duo CPU, compares very favorably with Apple's high-end MacBook Pro line, offering premium performance at a reasonable price.

Apple MacBook 13-inch (White)

The Apple MacBook 13-inch is sleek and powerful and gives you a lot of laptop for your money.

Speedy yet affordable. Comprehensive software bundle. 1 inch thick.

Doesn't have a modem. Doesn't have a PC Card/Express Card Slot. Battery life could be better for a lightweight laptop.

Apple MacBook

Replacing the iBook, Apple's MacBook, the little sibling to the more powerful, feature-rich, and expensive MacBook Pro, features a 13.3-inch wide-screen and a new color choice. It corrects a handful of the iBook's shortcomings, hits a reasonable price...

Apple MacBook User Review

According to online recycling websites this form of plastic has 'long been on environmentalists' hit lists for dispersing widely across the landscape, and for being notoriously difficult to recycle. Most places still don't accept it, though it is...

Solid construction ; Impressive industrial design ; Awesome touch pad ; Excellent keyboard ; Centrino 2 processor ; NVIDIA 9400m

Price – it is $200-300 overpriced in my opinion ; 2GB RAM is low by today's standards ; 160GB HDD is low by today's standards

Keeping the old plastic MacBook model in the lineup as an olive branch to the value conscious is strange. Its $999 price point acknowledges the unrealistic entry price of the new MacBook, but in and of itself is no bargain either. It’s hard to imagine...

Review Apple MacBook 13 inch

Apple now implements Intel processors in the successors of the iB ...

design, very silent, weight, good input devices, optimized for MacOS X

scratch sensitive, moderate windows support (yet), low stability of viewing angles, reflecting display, foot on battery

MacOS X pleases - if you don't want to use any software, which does not exist with MacOS, there is no reason to Windows to transfer. Of course it requires a certain time of habituation for newbees. But since the Apple transferred to Intel processors,...

Apple MacBook First Thoughts Review (pics, specs)

After much anticipation and rumors, the Apple MacBook was released this week by Apple (available via Apple.com now). It is a 13.3" widescreen notebook, the screen is glossy and very nice and bright. It is geared towards those that need to be mobile...

The MacBook is a beautiful piece of hardware, the design and look is fantastic and I really like the keyboard. This is all of course dragged down by the heat and crashing issues I've had so far. However, we'll assume that my early production system...
