Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch (Late 2011)

The Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch gets new hardware and software, including a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, AMD Radeon GPU, and OS X Lion, while keeping everything that works well, like the thin and stylish unibody design.

Updated quad-core Core i7 processor. Powerful AMD GPU with more dedicated memory. OS X Lion is superb. Improved battery life

Competitors offer lower prices and larger feature sets

Apple MacBook Pro Fall 2011 review: Apple MacBook Pro Fall 2011

Apple MacBook Pro Fall 2011

Incremental updates to the CPU help keep the ; line a step above the now-mainstream MacBook Air. The trackpad and gesture controls are still the best of any current laptop.

Unless you need an optical drive, the MacBook Air may be a better fit for most, and the Pro still lacks things we'd like to see, such as HDMI, Blu-ray, and USB 3.0.

A MacBook Pro is a significant investment, especially when adding in optional upgrades. Cost aside, there's not a better choice (there are, however, some close ties) for an all-around powerhouse that will work in the home, the office, and in between.

Apple 15-inch MacBook Pro (Late 2011) Review

The early 2011 MacBook Pro is honestly Apple's best effort to date. Only using quad-core CPUs on the 15 and 17-inch models, and offering an optional Thunderbolt Display that can act as a modern day dock makes this platform, particularly the 15-inch...

Review Apple MacBook Pro 15 Late 2011 (2.4 GHz, 6770M, glare)

More Bang for the Buck. In a Late 2011 Refresh the MacBook Pro 15

Quality of the case; High-quality display; Very good input devices; Very quiet in low load scenarios

Case can get very hot; Down clocked 6770M graphics card; Loud under heavy load; Base configuration: low resolution, glossy display; Few interfaces; Throttling under heavy CPU and GPU load - likely because of an insufficiently dimensioned power adapter

Apple users will only consider laptops from Apple. The entry-level model with 2.2 GHz quad-core CPU and 6750M graphics card might be of particular interest. Furthermore, the smaller 13" model might be a good alternative because of its low price. If you...

Apple MacBook Pro (15-Inch, Fall 2011 Version) Review and Ratings

With this fall 2011 update, Apple's middle-child MacBook Pro gets a slightly faster processor and more graphics muscle, keeping its performance well ahead of the competition. It's a minor update from the previous version, making the need to upgrade...

Awesome performance ; Excellent battery life ; Multi-touch gestures on touch pad work flawlessly with OS

Only a minor upgrade from previous version ; Still lacks a Blu-ray drive and an HDMI port ; Battery is not user-replaceable

The MacBook Pro comes bundled with the

The 15inch MacBook Pro is the best looking, best performing, most desirable laptop out there, but can you justify a  price tag of over £1850?

Still going after many years

Been using it for many years and I still love it. Had a few hiccup over the years when updating OSes but it was user error. Overall very happy with it.

Fast processor, no viruses, battery life is decent

faster video card would've been nice

a GOOD piece of engineering !!!

This Mac is great for people that need to buy a laptop, it has advanced features like multi-touch gestures, a good CPU ... If your new to Mac's (like me) and you need something to use outdoors this is a really sturdy laptop with a good size and...

Fast Processor The Graphics Card isn`t bad (ex:plays CoD 4 REALLY GOOD) The multi-touch gestures are extremely responsive Litle or no viruses The battery life is really good The screen is really good. The OSX lion is perfect (never jams)

Heat`s up from time to time but no biggy Apple could have used the Nvidia GT330m with 512mb for better gaming(Fligh Simulator`s , Gta IV , Crisis ...) but the intel graphics card will do just fine.
