Lots of processing brawn; Moderately affordable; Strong audio ; Low-res display; Bouncy keyboard; Tons of bloatware ; The Asus F555UA is a high-performing and moderately affordable notebook that's hampered by a low-res display and flexy keyboard.

Asus F555UB-XO043T Notebook Review

Allrounder. Asus sells their 15.6-inch allrounder-notebook for around 600 Euro (~$680). The F555UB can handle gaming and is capable of very decent battery run times. The display and the keyboard are not nearly as impressive.

matte display ; good performance ; suitable for gaming ; doesn't get hot ; very quiet most of the time ; good battery life

dark display ; keyboard flexes ; PWM flickering

The Core i5 processor offers enough performance to satisfy most users, while the GeForce 940M GPU allows for gaming as well. During normal use, the notebook is quiet and doesn't get very warm even under load. The storage space is generous thanks to the...

Asus F555LJ (GeForce 920M) Notebook Review

Fast Forward. New CPU and GPU generations - Asus updates their series of affordable 15.6-inch all-rounder notebooks in two ways. The new hardware increases performance significantly while consuming less power in the process. The result is an increase...

Good performance, Can handle games, Chassis doesn't get hot, Power consumption comperatively low, Quiet most of the time

Keyboard flexes

Compared to the notebooks equipped with the previous generation hardware, the combination of new Broadwell CPU and Kepler GPU increases the performance significantly. CPU and graphics performance are up by 20 to 30%. Fortunately, the performance gain...

Asus F555LD-XX243H Notebook Review Update

Well-equipped. Pony up 500 Euros (~$613) for this 15.6-inch device and you'll get an all-rounder capable of running some current video games. Thanks to its 1 TB hard drive, the storage space won't run out anytime soon.

Good application performance, Capable of running games, Barely warms up

Keyboard rocks back and forth, Dark display

Asus' F555LD-XX243H is an inexpensive, all-round notebook. The computer offers enough performance for everyday applications, and its GeForce core makes it possible to run computer games as well. Thanks to the 1 TB hard drive, there's plenty of storage...

Good laptop for writing essays and editing videos, not rendering

Decent display contrast, not good for photo buffs though Good keyboard Decent battery life (~6hrs with battery saver mode) Upgradable RAM

Asus adware galore i7-6500u only has 2 cores and 4 threads, not a full desktop i7 Trackpad software is inconsistent No num lock indicator, scroll lock indicator, caps lock indicator Poor resolution but still better than HD Optical drive (really? I'd...

Promising start, ultimately let down

I owned this laptop for less than thirty days, barely used it and over the course of my ownership. All was well until an error message showed up when I was using the internet. Quick google of the problem and I realized that my graphics driver needed an...

-Attractive design -Good trackpad -Fast (at first)

-Cheap, badly laid out keyboard. The keyboard "surface" flexed in and out a good 2 millimeters. -Screen not great. -Constant "not responding" messages when using firefox -Laptop had a very noisy hard drive. This was tolerable at first, but after about...

Great price fast laptop

Easy to take apart and replace sata hd with a ssd.

High end laptop with an Intel I7 and 8G of ram super fast light weight great for all around use, not for gaming due to on board video capabilities.

Does not have a removable battery, and the OEM power adapter that ASUS has been sending with the 550 series laptops is cheaply made. I ordered a power adapter that fits all of these laptops 65W Asus F550C F550CA F550CC F550D F550DP F550E F550L F550LB...

Thanks Newegg for this Asus laptop

The cons are very miniscule but can easy be fixed with a keyboard and removing bloatware.

Fast Sleek Lots of storage Good battery life Windows 10 i7 Good color

Shift button too small. No backlight indicators for num lock and caps lock. It would be nice if it had a notification on the screen when you have caps lock on or off. Asus Bloatware (Easy to remove) TrackPad buttons are flat.

I love it

I'll list off more when I've actually had this longer than a few days, but overall I love the computer. Windows 10 is better than I thought it would be and the cons also aren't a deal breaker for me since I can work around them (external keyboard and...

- Performance is great so far. First time setup for Windows 10 went quicker than I thought it would go. - While not extremely lightweight, it's still light enough to carry around easily. - Manages to stay nice and cool, even with the bit of gaming I...

- No keyboard indicator lights for caps, scroll or num lock. I use my external gaming keyboard so not a big deal for me, but would have been nice to have for the times it's not on hand. - I wish the location of the power button wasn't above the esc key...
