Asus Transformer Book Flip TP300LA review

A reasonably powerful and well-built machine with some flaws

Good build quality and it's aesthetically pleasing ; Powerful processor for the price ; Large 1TB hard drive

Relatively low resolution screen that isn't visible from all angles ; No SSD and a noisy hard drive ; Unreliable flip detection

Solid build construction and a powerful processor are let down by a lack of solid state storage, unreliable flip detection and a slightly dark screen.

Asus Transformer Book Flip TP300LA

Cheap, reasonably powerful and with great battery life, Asus' Transformer Book Flip seems to have it all

The Transformer Book Flip represents another promising outing from Broadwell: the balance of value, performance and battery life is excellent, with the Flip scoring a little above average on all counts. Build quality is generally good, too, although...

ASUS Notebook TP300LA

This is a Windows 8.1 notebook but it has an ability that most notebooks do not have, the screen can flip through 360degrees so not only is it a notebook but also a Tablet and because it's a Tablet then it also has touchscreen ability.

The ASUS TP300LA "Flip" measures 32x23x1.5cm and weights a tad under 1.8kilos. The left side has a Kensington Lock port, USB2 socket, SD Card port, volume rocker and on/off button. The front has three well marked LED’s. The right side has a 3.5mm...

Asus Transformer Book Flip TP300LA review

Even with a 360-hinge and and a low price point, this convertible laptop's most attention-worthy feature is its surprisingly swift performance. A bland, standard HD display arguably takes it off the table for designers, but there's plenty for others to...

Good build quality and performance, low price, range of ports, more storage than competing detachables

Windows 8.1 instead of Windows 10, poor display quality, lots of unwanted Asus software

A good solid performer

I exchanged a new Lenovo Yoga, which broke after two months and spare parts from China could not be sourced in a reasonable time, for this Asus product and have not been disappointed. The build quality is excellent, the key pad feels sturdy and the i7...

Asus notebook that flips over!

I purchased this Asus flipbook/notebook late 2014 at the same time as my LG Soundbar from JB Hi Fi. This flipbook is awesome. I have had it now for approximately 18 months with no issues that a restart hasn't fixed. I tend to use it as a standard...

Asus Transformer Book Flip TP300LA

Throughout my usage of this machine I have found myself very happy with the performance that it delivers for the price. This laptop/2-in-1 is capable of doing everything I wanted to do, plus more.

I have found that my only problem with the laptop comes down to mainly battery life, it is greatly decreased by using the machine in full capacity- though under minimum load it is acceptable.

Asus Transformer Book Flip TP300LA

Not much money for a fast Intel i5 processor. Build and the keyboard feel solid. Screen very sharp and colours very clear. Great size at 13.3" makes it a good size to carry around.

Slightly heavy for a 13.3" but expected for a 360 flip needing a solid construction. Not the best function in tablet form, but same was said about my Lenovo Yoga, both great laptop and both not so good tablet, but at least you have the option.

Asus Transformer Book Flip TP300LA

slim, light and very good value for money.. good processor and plenty of memory. touchscreen is responsive. windows 10 is a free update and recommended, far better than windows 8.. Also works well with linux (kali) ..

hard drive is slow and the only bad point that lets this laptop down, the laptop has sata 3 but the hd inside is a slow 5400 rpmths so its best to upgrade this to a decent ssd which also increases battery life as well as makes it alot faster.. Also the...
