Dell XPS 13 review (2020): Tweaked to near perfection

Dell has managed to refine the XPS 13 into an even better ultraportable, with thinner display bezels, a wider and more comfortable keyboard, and a more modern design. It's everything we want in a compact notebook.

Attractive design ; Excellent screen with thin bezels ; Wide and comfortable keyboard ; Fast performance

An SD card reader would have been nice ; $999 model is underpowered

The Dell XPS 13, one of the most influential laptops of the past decade, has a new design that dares to go to the next level. It's the best laptop you can buy.

One less USB-C port

Dell’s new XPS 13 is everything a Windows laptop should be

Yep, it's still the best.

Beautiful, sturdy design ; Bezel-free 16:10 display ; Standout keyboard and touchpad ; Integrated graphics can handle some gaming

Keyboard gets hot under load ; Limited port selection ; Bad webcam

Sleek styling ; Improved touchpad ; Excellent 16:10 display ; Narrow screen bezels ; Long battery life

The 2020 version of the Dell XPS 13 is an excellent ultraportable laptop, with head-turning looks and plenty of power for everyday tasks.

Dell XPS 13 9300 review: The bezel is finally dead

The Dell XPS 13 9300 may not make a performance splash, but its 16:10 aspect-ratio touchscreen and dual biometric inputs still make a difference.

Gorgeous InfinityEdge screen with almost no bezels ; Dual biometric input options

Slightly slower than the previous model, the XPS 13 7390 ; No USB-A Port

The Dell XPS 13 9300 enters 2020 with more competition than ever. In 2015, 360-degree designs were still unproven and very rough. Today’s versions, such as the , give up nothing while also offering tablet and pen functionality. The utility of those...

Dell XPS 13 (2020) review

Small tweaks in the Dell XPS 13 (2020) make big impressions

Attractive, premium chassis ; Powerful performance ; No bezels whatsoever ; Excellent battery life

Lacks legacy ports

The Dell XPS 13 ditches all the bezels, gets even smaller and more powerful.

The Dell XPS 13 (9300) Review: Return of the King

Dell changed the Windows laptop market in a single stroke with the launch of the updated XPS 13 back in 2015, ushering in the world of the InfinityEdge display, and moving the entire industry forward. We were fortunate enough to get a chance to check...

Overall there is a lot to like about the new XPS 13, and very little to detract from. Dell has yet another winner. With an updated 16:10 display, class-leading battery life, and a fantastic design, the XPS 13 is easily one of the best notebooks around.

Dell XPS 13 9300 4K UHD Laptop Review: 16:10 is the New 16:9

If you want the 4K UHD touchscreen, it's going to cost you at least an extra $300 USD over the FHD versions. What kinds of benefits can users expect and how will the display impact battery life? We compare the FHD and 4K XPS 13 versions to find out.

fast black-white and gray-gray response times for a 4K UHD display;almost no uneven backlight bleeding;high quality 4K UHD touchscreen;no pulse-width modulation;16:10 aspect ratio

full AdobeRGB coverage not supported;not as bright as the FHD option;slightly shorter battery life;no 4K UHD matte option

Dell XPS 13 9300 Core i7 Laptop Review: New Chassis Design is More Exciting than the New CPU

Apple has been championing the 16:10 display across its MacBook family for years. It's about time for a Windows maker to offer the same larger aspect ratio that both home and office users can appreciate.

very low fan noise when browsing or video streaming;much faster GPU performance than Core i5-1035G1;small footprint with very narrow 4-sided bezels;17% larger clickpad and 7% larger display;included USB Type-C to Type-A adapter;white chassis hides...

cycling clock rates when gaming or under extreme processing stress;fewer USB Type-C ports than last year's model;high-pitched fan noise when under high loads;cycling frame rates when gaming;PWM at low brightness levels;no HDMI or USB Type-A ports;no...
