Honor MagicBook Pro review

The Honor MagicBook Pro is a great MacBook Pro alternative for those on a tight budget.

Very affordable ; Slim, lightweight design ; Large 16-inch display

Terrible availability ; No Thunderbolt 3 ; No SD card reader

The Honor MagicBook Pro is far from the most powerful device on the market, but it's affordability makes it an attractive option for new creative professionals on a tight budget. Overall, it's a well-balanced product for anyone looking for a cheap...

Honor MagicBook Pro (Intel) review

The 16in Intel MagicBook Pro adds a GeForce MX350 GPU over the earlier AMD version, but familiar shortcomings prevent it from being a no-brainer.

Nvidia GeForce MX350 GPU ; Great keyboard ; Attractive design

Bulky ; No touchscreen ; Awkward webcam

An attractive design, impressive keyboard and discrete Nvidia GPU makes the MagicBook Pro one of the best 16in laptops you can buy. Its main sub-£1000 competitor is the earlier AMD version, which delivers more well-rounded everyday performance.

The Honor MagicBook Pro delivers a big screen on a budget, but can it deliver pro performance without a discrete GPU?

Honor MagicBook Pro review: Redefines what’s possible in a sub-£1,000 laptop

Honor's 'pro' 16in laptop is an almost unbelievably good bargain

Excellent performance ; Mega value ; Relatively slim and light for a 16in laptop

Awkward webcam placement

Looking at those performance results, you could be forgiven for wondering what all the other manufacturers are doing. The Honor MagicBook Pro performs so well and at such a reasonable price that it embarrasses laptops costing hundreds of pounds more.

Review: Honor MagicBook Pro

At only £850 (at launch), the Honor MagicBook Pro packs in quite a punch. It runs cool, has the power to do loads, and offers a brilliant screen. Having said that, details such as the pop-up camera could be better. Regardless, it offers you great value...

While a few weeks is never enough to really know a laptop well, I have to say that I am really impressed with this. Windows laptops have a new champion, and it costs only £850! The value for money alone is a great plus for this device.

So it has been a while since I reviewed a full-size laptop or even, for that matter, a small one! I typically gravitate toward the more compact and light

If you are interested in getting one of these laptops then you can buy them now and you will get a few freebies thrown into the mix as well. It is now available from the store for £849.99 if you buy it before the end of the month.
