HP Elite x2 1011 G1 Tablet With Power Keyboard

The HP Elite x2 1011 G1 is a solid Windows business tablet with strong battery life, but it lacks the performance of other, more powerful detachable-hybrid models.

Svelte laptop-like design with the keyboard. Good productivity performance and very long battery life in testing.

Expensive. Poor graphics performance in our tests. Keyboard and tablet sometimes don't sync.

Conclusions The HP Elite x2 1011 G1 is a highly portable detachable-hybrid tablet. Its battery life is one of the best in its class, and its performance on our productivity tests is solid. You'll need to download the latest driver, however, to avoid...

HP Elite x2 Review

HP has a new Elite tablet, and it is the most striking to date. The HP Elite x2 is a convertible system composed of a tablet with a hinged kickstand and a keyboard that attaches to the tablet using a magnetic connector. Anyone familiar with the Surface...

If you like the style of HP’s Spectre x2 but need something more durable and more suitable for work, the Elite x2 is exactly the right choice — it brings with it most of the Spectre’s pleasing design aesthetics and combines them with a slew of...

HP Elite x2 1011 G1 Convertible Review

Limited performance. HP advertises its new business detachable as: "The one device you need...". In fact, the Elite x2 is a versatile multi-talent, but it ultimately misses a better rating due to minor flaws in details.

Solid, well-built casing, DisplayPort (4K @ 60 Hz), Outstanding keyboard and digitizer, Bright and viewing angle Full HD screen, Low noise and temperature development, Long battery life, 3-year warranty

No ac Wi-Fi, Middling cameras, Mouse pad with sensor keys, Limited CPU performance, Slow battery charging, High price

The competition was first: Models like the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix 2 and the Toshiba Portégé Z20t show just what can be expected of a modern business detachable. However, HP has managed to set its own highlights with the Elite x2 1011 G1 - some positive,...

HP Elite x2 1011 Review

This high-end business tablet features an 11.6" FHD display, Intel Core M processor and 8GB of RAM along with a detachable power keyboard and a price that rivals many high-end Ultrabooks.

Good battery life with power keyboard ; Ample performance for most tasks ; Attractive design and quality ; Business security features ; Intel WiGig technology

Expensive ; Most ports in the power keyboard ; Power keyboard should allow tablet to tilt back further

HP Elite x2 1011 G1 review: A high-quality hybrid with some tablet issues

This premium-priced convertible has plenty of impressive features and excellent build quality, but the tablet lacks connectivity and must be charged via an adapter.

Superb 11.6-inch display ; Very robust build ; Two USB 3.0 connectors (on keyboard)

Tablet is short on connections ; Cumbersome charging system for tablet ; Expensive

Review of the HP Elite x2, a Surface Pro competitor that holds its own

Today we take a look at HP's latest hybrid, the Elite x2. A combination laptop and tablet with Thunderbolt and integrated kickstand, let's see how the device stacks up against its competition.

HP has released a very nice product with the Elite x2. However, that doesn't mean this device is for everyone. If you don't intend to use it as a tablet, then you're probably better off buying a dedicated laptop and the Dell XPS 13 is still my favorite...

HP Elite x2 review: A Surface device for business elites

The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is a great device, but what if working professionals require something more from their convertible? That's where the HP Elite x2 comes in with its range of business-oriented and security features. In a word, this is a 2-in-1...

Solid build quality and attractive design ; Bundled HP Active Pen is a pleasure to write with ; HP Travel keyboard feels close to actual notebook keyboard ; Efficient and fairly powerful processor ; Wide range of add-on accessories and docks ; Decent...

Expensive ; Middling 1,920 x 1,280-pixel display and thick bezels ; Lackluster speaker quality

With that said, we’d argue that the Elite x2 is only good for business users and enterprises looking to purchase devices for their employees. This is one of the few 2-in-1 hybrids for professionals, and perhaps the one that does it best. The average...

HP Elite x2 1011 Review and Ratings

Offering a portable solution to business users on the go, the HP Elite x2 1011 detachable combines most of the convenience of a tablet with most of the capabilities of an ultraportable laptop.

Nice, bright display ; Great battery life when keyboard is attached ; Support for WiGig dock ; Digital pen a nice option

Expensive ; Middling performance ; Speakers sound a little thin

After fully recharging the laptop, we set up the machine in power-save mode (as opposed to balanced or high-performance mode) and make a few other battery-conserving tweaks in preparation for our unplugged video rundown test. In this test, we loop a...
