HP Pavilion dv3-2155mx review: HP Pavilion dv3-2155mx

HP Pavilion dv3-2155mx

Nearly day-long battery life; compact design; includes small Media Center remote control; imprint finish helps it stand out from the laptop crowd.

Massive nine-cell battery is awkward and uncomfortable; lacks 802.11n Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet; glossy touch pad is uncomfortable.

Its massive battery extends awkwardly from the bottom of the laptop, but the HP Pavilion dv3-2155mx is an otherwise compact thin-and-light laptop that should get students to class and back on a single charge.

HP Pavilion dv3-2150us

A compact laptop with a big battery, the HP Pavilion dv3-2150us is an appealing alternative to its big-screen multimedia centers.

Great battery life. Nice screen, keyboard, and multimedia remote control. Just five pounds including optical drive.

Creaky integrated graphics. Blu-ray and Bluetooth not included.

HP Pavilion dv3z review: HP Pavilion dv3z

HP Pavilion dv3z

Inexpensive, highly configurable 13-inch laptop; excellent battery life.

Not as thin or light as other 13-inch systems; AMD processor lags in performance.

The 13-inch HP Pavilion dv3z offers a reasonable trade-off, choosing battery life and value over performance and weight.

HP Pavilion dv3 Laptop Review

Specially-treated keyboard ; Great variety of ports

Incredibly twitchy touchpad ; Microscopic function keys

HP's head-on competitor to the Gateway UC7807u scores style points but stumbles with both performance and some functionality.

HP Pavilion dv3z

The affordable HP Pavilion dv3z is nice and light, but keeping workloads light, as well, is highly recommended.

Affordable. Slim and compact. Tasteful design. Endless selection of features. Large, bright LED widescreen. Big battery. 4GB of memory. Excellent keyboard. Backlit keyboard option.

AMD parts were outperformed by Intel systems in all areas of benchmark testing. Heat and fan noise can be bothersome on certain tasks.

HP Pavilion dv3 4305se Review

A powerfully small package.

Very powerful, Good keyboard, Doesn't get too hot under constant load, Compact size

Low battery time

Inside there’s a large mouse pad with a generously size Chiclet keyboard. No backlight on this one, sadly. The 13” screen may be glossy, but the 1366×768 resolution LED screen seems good enough during daytime.
