HP Spectre x360 15 2020 review: Smaller, yet more powerful

The 2020 HP Spectre x360 15 lops off some bezel and becomes a much smaller and more nimble 15-inch 2-in-1.

Tiny for a 15-inch 2-in-1 ; Spectacular good looks ; Excellent keyboard ; Solid productivity performance ; Excellent OLED display

Modest performance in creative apps ; Poor battery life

HP Spectre x360 14 Review

High-fashion styling ; Dazzling OLED touch screen with 3:2 aspect ratio ; Handy shortcut keys and utility software ; Rechargeable pen and carrying sleeve in box ; Lively performance (apart from gaming)

No HDMI port ; No LTE mobile broadband option ; No sign of the 007 SPECTRE octopus logo

Its tall OLED screen and swank, thoughtful design vault the HP Spectre x360 14 to the top rank of convertible laptops.

OLED laptops are an idea whose time has come

The Spectre x360 15 AMOLED has an amazing screen, but it isn't without other faults.

OLED screen is beautiful ; Snappy performance for productivity work ; Physical camera switch provides nice privacy option

The trackpad is the absolute worst ; Only average battery life ; Can’t get the best screen with the best processor option

So you should look at the Spectre x360 15 AMOLED as a good example of a laptop with an OLED screen that’s practical, relatively affordable, and doesn’t make any major compromises for the better display. As I noted earlier, HP is not the only laptop...

HP Spectre x360 15 (2020) review: beauty at the expense of battery life

The HP Spectre x360 15's stunning 4K display comes at the expense of battery life

Attractive, stylish chassis ; Beautiful 4K display with amazing DCI-P3 coverage ; Speedy file-transfer rates ; Comfortable keyboard

Below-average battery life ; Mixed performance ; Touchpad needs more friction

HP Spectre x360 14 Convertible Review: An Instant Favorite

There's a new 13.5-inch HP Spectre in town and it absolutely trumps the 13.3-inch Spectre that came before it. The jump to 3:2 is a natural move to put the Spectre series more in line with prosumer competitors like the Dell XPS or Asus ZenBook S series.

optional OLED or 1000-nit brightness options;carrying case and active pen included;>95 percent sRGB coverage standard;excellent key feedback and travel;good CPU and GPU performance;USB-A, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports;sleek and rigid chassis design;fast...

cycling CPU and GPU clock rates may be unfavorable for certain applications;warmer surface temperatures than Spectre x360 13;RAM and WLAN not user upgradeable;fingerprint reader replaces Ctrl key;clickpad feedback could be firmer;slow black-white...

HP Spectre x360 13-aw0013dx Convertible Review: Powered by Intel Ice Lake

The latest HP Spectre is definitely smaller, faster, and more portable than ever before, but the unsteady CPU performance and noticeable ghosting will leave some casual gamers disappointed.

brighter display than last generation model;attractive narrow bezel design; lightweight;strong chassis quality and first impressions;quiet even when under medium loads;comfortable keyboard feedback;USB Type-A and Thunderbolt 3;fast MicroSD reader;long...

moderately slow black-white and gray-gray response times;inconsistent frame rates when gaming;upgrading M.2 storage can be difficult;display could be better calibrated;non-upgradeable RAM or WLAN;inconsistent CPU performance;no HDMI port

HP Spectre x360 13t (2020) Laptop Review

Has HP's Spectre finally surpassed Dell and Apple as the best premium, portable laptop?

Great design ; Beautiful display ; The keyboard is a dream

Starting price a little high

It's worth noting that both the Dell XPS 13 (7390) and the MacBook Air (2020) start at a cheaper $999 MSRP right now, though that nets you a dual core i3 with the MacBook as opposed to a quad core i5 on the Dell. The Spectre also has a quad core i5 to...

HP Spectre 15 x360 2019 review: Carving a niche in a crowded space

The "gem-cut" design isn't for everybody, but it sure is striking.

Good graphics performance.

I'm not a fan of the eye-catching design; personally, I find it gaudy. But that's subjective, and someone else might love it.

So no, this device is not perfect. But it's nice to see OEMs like HP trying new things, and some of them (like the webcam switch and the port placement) are wins in our book. The Spectre 15 x360 isn't for everybody, but it carves its own earned niche...

HP Spectre x360 15 review: It spins me right round

HP's latest 15-inch convertible deftly balances design, performance, features and price.

Beautifully designed and with practically no missteps, the HP Spectre x360 15 has a great keyboard and trackpad, 4K display, above-average sound system with solid battery life and decent performance for the money.

It's not particularly lightweight.

It's hard to find a match for the HP Spectre x360 15's mix of features and performance for the money, and none of its competitors are nearly as pretty.

HP Chromebook x360 12b-ca0001na laptop review

  (Rating Hidden)

The HP Chromebook x360 12b-ca0001na is a dinky 12-inch Chromebook that should slide into even the smallest school bag. With a fully flexible screen hinge, this laptop can be flipped around and turned into a tabl...
