HP Spectre x360 13 (2021) Review

Handsome design ; Comfortable keyboard ; Perky performance

No HDMI port ; No security-cable lockdown notch ; Only slightly heavier Spectre x360 14 has bigger panel, 3:2 aspect ratio

Freshened up with "Tiger Lake" 11th Generation silicon, HP's stylish Spectre x360 13 is one of the best 13.3-inch convertible laptops, but once you see the 3:2 aspect ratio display of its x360 14 stablemate, it's hard to go back.

HP Spectre x360 15t (15-ap012dx)

The 4K HP Spectre x360 15t premium convertible-hybrid laptop is well designed and constructed and delivers very good performance. It's ideal for working at home, as well as watching movies at higher-than-HD resolution on the couch.

4K screen. Very slim. Good performance from Core i7 processor. 16GB of memory. 10 hours of battery life. Generous port selection includes HDMI and USB-C.

Bulky and awkward in Tablet mode.

Conclusion The HP Spectre x360 15t's 15.6-inch screen is large enough for working on spreadsheets and other large documents during the day, while its 4K UHD resolution is primed for movie night on your couch. That said, the multimode design feels more...

HP Spectre x360 15t (15-ap011dx)

You'll pay a pretty penny for it, but the HP Spectre x360 15t amps up the convertible-hybrid laptop game with premium construction, plenty of forward-looking technology, and just over 12 hours of battery life.

Very slim. Multimode design. Good port selection, including HDMI and USB-C. Long battery life.

Pricey compared with rivals. Bulky and awkward in Tablet mode.

Conclusion The HP Spectre x360 15t (15-ap011dx) has excellent battery life and premium construction going for it. But it costs a lot more than most midrange convertible-hybrid laptops. It's drastically undercut by the $700 Acer Aspire R 14, a system...

A big-screen Spectre x360 hybrid from HP (hands-on)

The Spectre x360 gets a 15-inch version, while the original 13-inch model goes OLED.

HP Spectre x360 13 (2021) review

Improving on the best 2-in-1 laptop of the past few years, the latest Spectre x360 13 delivers faster performance and longer battery life in an even smaller chassis

Luxurious design ; Sturdy, compact chassis ; Bright 1080p display ; Fast performance ; 12+ hour battery life ; IR camera and fingerprint sensor

Terrible webcam ; Small touchpad ; No bundled stylus ; Overshadowed by Spectre x360 14

HP's Spectre x360 13 is an outstanding premium laptop even if it gets overshadowed by the newer (but pricier) Spectre x360 14.

The 15-inch Spectre x360 is a beautiful convertible with tons of speed and solid endurance.

HP Spectre x360 15-ap012dx Convertible Review

4K UHD update. The recently released Spectre x360 15 is available in FHD and UHD display options. Are those smaller pixels really worth the extra cost? We compare the two models to see what drawbacks and benefits one may have over the other.

identical maximum brightness levels as the FHD SKU ; slightly more accurate colors out-of-the-box ; very crisp texts and images ; very minimal uneven backlight bleeding

reduced battery life compared to FHD SKU ; lower contrast

Should you purchase the costlier 4K UHD SKU over the less expensive FHD SKU? The advantages are obvious including sharper texts and images for potentially better multi-tasking. We're also relieved to see no major reductions in backlight brightness due...

HP Spectre x360 15 ap011dx Convertible Review

15-inch convertible done right. Smaller convertibles like the Yoga 900 tend to work very well due to the lighter and more portable form factor. Scaling up to a 15-inch screen size has proven difficult, but HP is the first to hit it out of the park.

strong performance under stress; no major throttling, relatively bright, high quality touchscreen with deep contrast, thin and sleek design with strong build quality, lightweight for a 15-inch notebook, relatively easy maintenance, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen....

weak GPU performance; no dedicated GPU options, still on the heavy side even for a 15-inch tablet, only one level of keyboard backlight brightness, display backlight not powerful enough to overcome direct sunlight, no secondary storage options,...

Our experience with 15-inch convertibles has been a mixed bag up until the launch of the Spectre x360 15. Both the Toshiba Satellite Radius 15 and Lenovo ThinkPad S5 Yoga 15 had a few redeeming qualities, but case quality and weight dragged them down...

HP Spectre x360 15 (2020) review: A premium 2-in-1 convertible with a superb 4k OLED display Review | ZDNet

The Spectre x360 15's outstanding features are its 15.6-inch screen and its distinctive styling. The bundled stylus and high-quality audio subsystem are plus points too, but battery life could be better.

Excellent 4k OLED screen ; Good speakers ; Bundled stylus ; Quirky, angular design

Small, fiddly touchpad ; Average battery life ; No on-laptop home for the stylus
