HP Spectre x360 15t (15-ap012dx)

The 4K HP Spectre x360 15t premium convertible-hybrid laptop is well designed and constructed and delivers very good performance. It's ideal for working at home, as well as watching movies at higher-than-HD resolution on the couch.

4K screen. Very slim. Good performance from Core i7 processor. 16GB of memory. 10 hours of battery life. Generous port selection includes HDMI and USB-C.

Bulky and awkward in Tablet mode.

Conclusion The HP Spectre x360 15t's 15.6-inch screen is large enough for working on spreadsheets and other large documents during the day, while its 4K UHD resolution is primed for movie night on your couch. That said, the multimode design feels more...

HP Spectre x360 15t (15-ap011dx)

You'll pay a pretty penny for it, but the HP Spectre x360 15t amps up the convertible-hybrid laptop game with premium construction, plenty of forward-looking technology, and just over 12 hours of battery life.

Very slim. Multimode design. Good port selection, including HDMI and USB-C. Long battery life.

Pricey compared with rivals. Bulky and awkward in Tablet mode.

Conclusion The HP Spectre x360 15t (15-ap011dx) has excellent battery life and premium construction going for it. But it costs a lot more than most midrange convertible-hybrid laptops. It's drastically undercut by the $700 Acer Aspire R 14, a system...

A big-screen Spectre x360 hybrid from HP (hands-on)

The Spectre x360 gets a 15-inch version, while the original 13-inch model goes OLED.

The 15-inch Spectre x360 is a beautiful convertible with tons of speed and solid endurance.

Gorgeous, lightweight design; Speedy overall performance; Vibrant 4K display; Strong sound; Great battery life

HP Spectre x360 15-ap012dx Convertible Review

4K UHD update. The recently released Spectre x360 15 is available in FHD and UHD display options. Are those smaller pixels really worth the extra cost? We compare the two models to see what drawbacks and benefits one may have over the other.

identical maximum brightness levels as the FHD SKU ; slightly more accurate colors out-of-the-box ; very crisp texts and images ; very minimal uneven backlight bleeding

reduced battery life compared to FHD SKU ; lower contrast

Should you purchase the costlier 4K UHD SKU over the less expensive FHD SKU? The advantages are obvious including sharper texts and images for potentially better multi-tasking. We're also relieved to see no major reductions in backlight brightness due...

HP Spectre x360 15 ap011dx Convertible Review

15-inch convertible done right. Smaller convertibles like the Yoga 900 tend to work very well due to the lighter and more portable form factor. Scaling up to a 15-inch screen size has proven difficult, but HP is the first to hit it out of the park.

strong performance under stress; no major throttling, relatively bright, high quality touchscreen with deep contrast, thin and sleek design with strong build quality, lightweight for a 15-inch notebook, relatively easy maintenance, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen....

weak GPU performance; no dedicated GPU options, still on the heavy side even for a 15-inch tablet, only one level of keyboard backlight brightness, display backlight not powerful enough to overcome direct sunlight, no secondary storage options,...

Our experience with 15-inch convertibles has been a mixed bag up until the launch of the Spectre x360 15. Both the Toshiba Satellite Radius 15 and Lenovo ThinkPad S5 Yoga 15 had a few redeeming qualities, but case quality and weight dragged them down...

HP Spectre x360 15 Review: A Slick Laptop That's Nearly Ruined by One Stupid Mistake

The HP Spectre x360 15-inch laptop is a lovely machine. It's attractively designed, powerful enough for most big tasks, and features a new 15.6-inch OLED display that will make your eyes weep with joy. Too bad HP put a terrible trackpad on the thing.

The OLED display is tremendous. The mx150 is just fast enough for most needs. Keyboard is nice.

HP’s upsized 15-inch Spectre x360—a high quality device built for the mainstream

HP hits enlarge on its very pleasant 13-inch systems.

Great build. ; Both thin and light. ; Good battery life.

No Thunderbolt 3. ; An optional quad core processor or discrete GPU would greatly enhance the versatility. ; The keyboard and touchpad are decent, but not best in class.

In other performance aspects, the system was unexceptional, performing in much the same way as other Skylake systems using the U-series 15W processors. This decision by HP has its pros and cons. Compared to the XPS 15 we tested, which used a 35W...

HP Spectre x360 15"

If you really liked the very popular 13.3" HP Spectre x360 but want a larger display, HP heard you. Now there's a 15" model, and it's one of the few convertibles in this size. Like the smaller model, it works with HP's optional Active Stylus. It has...

Stunning design and very slim. Nice specs for the money, rare 15" convertible with pen capabilities

Keyboard markings are low contrast and hard to see in middling light. Less powerful than some premium 15" laptops

If you're in the market for a 15" convertible with pen, the HP Spectre x360 is one of your few choices. Even if you could care less about the pen, but want a convertible, or simply a very good looking laptop that's very slim and light with a big...

HP Spectre x360 15 review

Watch out, Apple, the MacBook Pro has a new challenger

Flawless keyboard ; Spectacular design ; Comes with stylus

Less-than-stellar battery life ; Trackpad gets in the way of typing

Although the battery life falls short, the HP Spectre x360 packs heat when it comes to power, versatility and a stunning design that’s certain to incite compliments.
