Review Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 Notebook

Gaming revamped. Lenovo is well known for robust ThinkPads and low-priced office laptops. But a gamer with ATI HD 5730, Core i7-720QM, 7200 rpm hard disk and JBL loudspeakers?! The aggressive price of the Y-model: 860 Euro.

Strong performance, Fast 7,200 rpm HDD, Good gaming performance, Good sound with bass, Pleasant keys, Quiet mouse keys, A keyboard and mouse keys with strong feedback, which don't produce an annoying, cheap clicking noise

Weak battery life, High load- & idle-energy consumption, High temperatures & system noise under load, Low-contrast, dark display, High-gloss surfaces everywhere, Bendable chassis, More stability for the base unit and matte surfaces

Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 Review

Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 notebook is a new product this year, positioning the game entertainment, is the most talked about one of the products currently.

This is the first laptop I’ve truly loved. After two stinky HP Pavillion crap-tops I researched and purchased this one. My version is a little different but still a 560 model. Mine has a 320 GB drive and i5 processor. Build quality is outstanding...

Excellent speakersGreat CPU/GPU combinationDecent expandability.

Pointless slide bar is more confusing than helpfulLenovo's Smile Dock must dieIdeaPad logo lights up distractingly beneath the keyboardStatus lights are uselessly on the lip of the laptop.

Lenovo's Y560 is an excellent laptop, with serious muscle and great speakers. If you're in the market for something that won't slow you down, has expansion options and plays back movies well, the Y560 is likely to ring your bell.

Dont buy any Lenovo with this case

Good laptop, if not for that terrible case and hinge mounting design

The left side hinge, which also feed the display cable to the TFT, is simply junk. I had a slight break on mine which was not readily apparent as the hinge simply articulates back a little. This led to an intermittent short on the display...

Powerful but a piece of crap

This computer was perfect when I first used it. Powerful, fast and very good looking. I haven't much to complain about until about 3 months after purchasing it. The keyboard went berserk on me. Had to take it apart to fix. Found out it was because it...

Only lasted past the warranty

Was a great computer for the price

Stopped posting video after just over a year. Only lasted just past the manufacturer's warranty. This computer was very well taken care of with minimal use. Contacted manufacturer and they refuse to cover this hunk of junk and want me to pay full price...
