Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i 14 review: When choosing Intel hurts

The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i 14 has received the Intel treatment, which unfortunately resulted in decreased performance and battery life from the AMD model.

“The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i 14 lost performance and battery life in its transition from AMD to Intel. Add in a poor display and it's hard to recommend.”

Sturdy as a tablet or laptop ; Includes both HDMI and USB-C ports ; Responsive, bright touch screen ; Decent performance for the price

Display's color coverage is lacking ; Battery life is shorter than average ; Active pen not included ; Proprietary power port instead of USB-C charging

The panel and battery could use some tweaks, but Lenovo’s IdeaPad Flex 5i 14-inch is a solid-value budget convertible laptop with a nice keyboard and decent performance for the money.

Review: The IdeaPad Flex 5i 14 keeps the same great features in a refresh

The IdeaPad Flex 5i 14 gets an upgrade to 11th Gen Intel Core CPUs and a new aluminum lid for 2021, but otherwise it's mostly the same. Is still a good buy?
