LG LS50-8

The LS50-8 is a great-looking slim (2.7kg) silver machine with great battery life (worst-case scenario of 85 minutes). It features a 15" display capab...

Good design, lightweight

Slightly pricey

While the LGE LS50-8 is light, looks great and has good battery life, is it slightly overpriced.

Seven Years Old & Still Going Strong

This is the best notebook PC that I have ever owned. I bought it in 2004 when it was specced well ahead of the pack with a DVD+/-RW and high resolution screen. It has run faultlessly ever since, other than he screen backlight failing a year ago. I now...

Reliable, faultless & still running everything in 2011

Display backlight failed when it was 6 years old

this is one of the most robust laptops i have ever purchased. i own this one and it has all the speed and performance you can ever get a hold of. this machine has made my working life easier and my leisure time a breeze.

sometimes the performance is degraded when running multiple applications at once.

Excellent

My LG LS50 is now well over 4 years old and is still going strong. Although we bought a new notebook PC in 2007, we still use the LG LS50 as our main PC and only use the newer one for Media Centre (as it has a TV tuner) and for some games that need...

Price. Screen resolution. ATI vid card with dedicated memory. Firewire/iLink port (for connecting video camera). Fairly lightweight. Reliability and longevity. Windows XP Pro not Home edition.

SD card slot never worked. HDD failed after 3 years.

Excellent

My opinion of this laptop is quite high, I like it's feature's and its durability, it is quite a tough little machine. Another good point is that it is a leading brand. Dell. It is a yes from me.

Stylish and eyecatching. It has quite a bit of storage space on it and Is Perfect for somone who is either on the go or in need of a smart laptop for his/hers Buisness. It is not very heavy, ideal for a laptop bag as it will not wiegh down your neck.

It only comes with a standard window xp version. It shpould come with the latest windows vista.

LG has made a huge comeback over the past several years and the LG LS50-3 being a great product showing the improvement is very impressive. I find this much better than many other products, such as sony.

Very compact with a good amount of memory

Battery life could be improved

it's very flat and looks impressively smart with a 40GB HD, DVD+/-RW COMBO,and an Internal 56Kbps Modem + 10/100 LAN + Intel.it's a very impressive garget that it's model and kind is hard to find in the market.company has already proved it's impressive...

maybe would be better if the memory was much bigger and it lasted a little longer.

Overall it is a handy piece of gadjet, giving you all the things needed and giving you a high quality result.

The LG LS50-3 is a very handy and light unit, can be taken almost everywhere you want to go. Offers you so much, and helps if you are a buisness person, needing it everywhere you go. Some people have it as an extra item in the house but can come in...

The battery is the most painful part in having this for if it dies halve way while your doing lets say work you lose it all.

Terrible

If LG charge a wholesaler $44 AU plus $14 postage to fix one of their design faults, which LG do not have to even install, rather than doing it for cost, they have no interest in keeping their current customers happy. Therefore, they only care about...

It does what most other notebooks do for around the same price.

customer has 2x LS50 series notebooks. Both had to be repaired under warranty for damaged dc ports. They are no longer under warranty and the ports have broken again on both laptops. these laptops live on desks, they are not carried around, taken home,...
