Surface Pro 4 review: The tablet that still doesn’t quite replace your laptop

But it's a fine machine if you don't mind that it can't.

Bigger, better screen ; Fine keyboard and a touchpad you'll actually enjoy using ; Wide range of configuration options

It's very short on USB ports ; With all the options it gets very expensive, and you can't freely mix and match the options ; We still don't know when the biometric authentication will work

It ain't cheap, but it is pretty.

Surface Pro 4 Review: An unbelievable machine that has a major core flaw

Over the past few months, the Surface Pro 4 has transformed from being a bumbling mess, to something more refined. But, is this transformation enough to allow it to rebound into good graces?

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 review

The Surface Pro 4 is iterative in the best sense of the word

Larger, sharper screen within same dimensions ; Vastly improved Type Cover ; Even better Surface Pen

Type Cover still sold separately ; Intel Core m3 at entry level ; Battery life hasn't improved much

Has Microsoft at last crafted a tablet that can reasonably, without considerable compromise, replace your laptop? Short of going back to the drawing board on the battery, this looks as close as it's going to get. The Surface Pro 4 is still worth your...

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 review

After years of development and millions of advertising dollars spent to convince us that a tablet could plausibly replace a laptop, Microsoft finally delivered the goods with the Surface Pro 4 . Equipped with robust processing power, a perfectly sized...

The Surface Pro 4 fits a larger screen with a higher resolution into a slightly slimmer body than last year's model. The pen and keyboard cover are also improved, and this is one of the first mobile systems shipping with Intel's latest processors.

Microsoft still refuses to include the Type Cover keyboard by default, forcing a separate purchase. Battery life still isn't enough for a full day.

A host of small refinements cements the Surface Pro 4's position as the best-in-class Windows tablet -- so long as you're prepared to pay extra for the required keyboard cover accessory.

Hands Down Best Hybrid you can Buy

I had the SP3 and now have a 4. I love this device. I also have an iPad Pro. Windows 10 makes the IOS look old fashioned. I can add memory, peripherals, go from Docked wired Network to wireless seamlessly. Everything works as advertised. Try it, you...

I am tempted to call Surface Pro 4 with i7 CPU, a true lemon

I bought this because of some good reviews from professionals. The first one I received, powered off without warning. Could not turn it on for about five hours. It happened again three times. I returned it for an exchange. The new one was worse, it...

Sleek, light and good feel

It will power off randomly, and almost impossible to turn it back on.

Awesom 2 in 1 computer/laptop/tablet

Great 2 in 1 device. I bought this for Christmas 2015 and it works great. Windows 10 is a full operating system and this pc can do everything a high-end desktop can do. I mostly use it as a laptop and then a tablet. The pen that comes with the Surface...

Tremendous function; very glitchy

Really wanted this to be my solution. Functions like handwriting were excellent; easy to use device. Returned after less than 2 weeks because it froze/crashed every day; sometimes would not turn on. Bought it after the "update" was released, but never...
