Razer Blade Stealth (Late 2017)

The gorgeous, well-built, all-metal Razer Blade Stealth, now with a slightly larger and still-brilliant screen, is one of the best premium ultraportable laptops, especially for less than $1,500.

Gorgeous 13.3-inch QHD+ touch display. Slick design and solid construction. USB-C with Thunderbolt 3. Comfortable LED keyboard. Runs quietly.

Battery life not as long as some competitors. Can't charge and use USB-C port at the same time.

Bottom Line: The gorgeous, well-built, all-metal Razer Blade Stealth, now with a slightly larger and still-brilliant screen, is one of the best premium ultraportable laptops, especially for less than $1,500.

Razer's slim Blade Stealth laptop grows up

With a bigger screen and a new, subdued look, the Razer Blade Stealth is more mainstream, but slightly less fun.

The Razer Blade Stealth gets a larger screen in the same slim body. The new design feels more sophisticated and less gamer-y. Dropping the resolution from 4K means better battery life. Well priced for a premium Core i7 laptop.

The keyboard loses its fun multicolored backlight, going white-only. Accessing many system options requires signing up for a Razer account with your email. Limited configuration options.

The redesigned Razer Blade Stealth has a more serious, sophisticated look and better battery life, but also loses its singular hook, a million-color lighting system.

New Razer Blade Stealth (Intel Core i5, Early 2017)

Though it still offers speed, long battery life, a sleek and sturdy metal build, and a full feature set, the New Razer Blade Stealth is now even more affordable thanks to an Intel Core i5 processor.

Speedy performance stacks up well to more expensive machines. Long battery life. Attractive and sturdy metal construction. Customizable individually backlit keys. Includes both USB-C with Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.0 ports.

Somewhat light on storage. Keys have slightly shallow travel.

The Core i5 Blade Stealth's specs may not be out of the ordinary, but it's rare to get them in such a high-quality compact build for this price. It's a very appealing value given that it stacks up to more expensive machines pretty nicely, and you don't...

Display Check: Razer Blade Stealth (13.3 QHD+, i7-7500U)

Now with a bigger screen. Razer has updated its Ultrabook and now offers two different panel sizes in the same chassis. We have tested the new 13.3-inch model. What are the differences and which display should you get?

Razer follows the current trend to equip existing devices with bigger screens. The Blade Stealth is now available with a bigger 13.3-inch panel in the same chassis. The bigger panel improves the design and gets rid of the huge bezels we know from the...

Razer’s gunmetal Blade Stealth is like dressing a gaming laptop in a suit

An all-black exterior, backlit triple snake logo and a keyboard with every color in the rainbow is often what kept corporate types and minimalists away from Razer's laptop portfolio. Now for the first time, Razer is making a laptop with a new color...

For a $100 premium over a 13-inch, non-TouchBar MacBook Pro you can have the ability to invest more dollars to play games. Regardless, even without the Core you’d have the advantage of more RAM, storage space and ports than the base MacBook — with the...

Razer Blade Stealth and Razer Core – Laptop Review

Razer has made some eye-popping moves into laptops over the past few years, but we didn't expect the green-tinged firm to release an Ultrabook.

Razer’s £1,350 Blade Stealth is an excellent bit of kit. It looks the part, it’s light and sturdy, and the IGZO screen offers huge quality levels and a solid resolution.

Razer Blade Stealth Review Tim Schiesser

The Blade Stealth is smallest and sleekest laptop in Razer's line-up, boasting a 12.5-inch display and powerful yet efficient hardware. Combined with an elegant, well-constructed chassis, the Blade Stealth is a laptop that should be on your radar.

Understated yet premium design. Excellent performance from the Kaby Lake Core i7-7500U. Beautiful high-resolution display. Superb RGB LED-backlit keyboard. Still has full-sized USB and HDMI.

Thick bezels around the display. Fingerprint magnet.

Razer Blade Stealth (13.3" 8th Gen)

The latest Stealth Ultrabook sports a much appreciated 13.3" display rather than the original model's 12.5", yet the size and weight remain nearly the same. Inside there's an Intel Core i7-8550U 8th generation quad core CPU for 40% better performance....

Razer Blade Stealth review

A higher class of Ultrabook

Larger, brighter display ; Subtler aesthetics on the gunmetal version ; Excellent Kaby Lake Refresh performance

Shorter and shorter battery life ; No 4K display option in sight

The Razer Blade Stealth isn’t just THE Ultrabook for gamers, it’s one of the best Ultrabooks for everyone. Though it doesn’t offer the best battery life, its vibrant display, great performance and excellent value make it one of our favorite laptops of...
