It's only 0.7 inch thick, and it weighs just 3.35 pounds (3.8 pounds with power block), but the 13.3-inch Samsung Series 5 NP535U3C doesn't qualify as an Ultrabook. The reason? "Ultrabook" is a trademark belonging to Intel--and the Series 5 NP535U3C...

The Samsung Series 5 NP535U3C-A01US gives you the portability of an ultrabook at a lower price, but compromises on performance.

Bargain price. Slim, light design. Full-size HDMI port. Matte-finish display.

Poor performance. Short battery life. Awkward card reader.

The Samsung Series 5 notebook is not, it must be said, the most original range of laptops. We looked at the 13.3in-screen version, and its smooth curves and metallic-grey finish are clearly inspired by Apple's MacBook Air.

It's only 14.9mm thick, and it weighs just 1.5kg, but the 13.3-inch Samsung Series 5 NP535U3C doesn't qualify as an Ultrabook. The reason? "Ultrabook" is a trademark belonging to Intel - and the Series 5 NP535U3C doesn't use an Intel processor....
