Review Samsung R530 Notebook

Office friend. Those who don't need graphics-, Bluetooth- or Core i3-performance for surfing have here an office comrad with excellent ergonomics, fast input devices and a resilient finish starting at 439 Euros.

Hard-wearing surfaces, Stable chassis/ lid, Good keyboard, Quiet and cool, Good brightness, Acceptable battery life, Fast harddrive, Few frills, but still a lot of notebook.  There is an excellent keyboard, a durable case and adequate computing power...

TFT not equipped with anti-glare surface, Small viewing angles, Few connections, Loud mouse keys, An anti-glare display would have turned the R530 Nolan into a perfect office mate

Samsung R530

Fantastic value.

Uses 32-bit Windows. No gigabit Ethernet. No Bluetooth. Lid flexes a bit.

Samsung has offered a laptop of phenomenal value. The R530 is pleasant to use, although some small niggles like 32-bit Windows and the lack of dedicated home/end keys gets in the way of total enjoyment. Still, we're quite sure anyone who picks up the...

Samsung R530-JA03 review

The Samsung R530-JA03's bright, eye-catching design makes a refreshing change to the traditional budget laptop design: business-like slabs of black or grey.

If you want small and light, the Samsung R530-JA03 isn't the laptop for you. And if you want to try games, then think again. But, if you want great performance, style, build quality and useful battery life, the R530 is well worth your consideration.

Samsung R530 review

Although it has a smart-looking black and red lid, the R530 looks a little plainer than some of Samsung's more expensive laptops, with a plain silver screen bezel and keyboard surround. Although it may look rather ordinary, the performance of this...

An excellent screen, fast processor, comfortable keyboard and decent battery life make this a fantastic budget laptop.

Samsung R530 review: Budget rivals

With decent performance, quality and usability, there's a lot to like about the Samsung R530. However, at this price point there's also a lot of choice, so we've been taking a look at the rivals. Join us after the break to find out which is the best...

Perfomance for price is great

Battery life can't match rivals

As a desktop replacement, the R530 beats its budget rivals. It's not quite so portable however.

Samsung R530 review

Samsung delivers another cracker, with stylish design married to a top-quality display and keyboard.

Solid, dependable and great value, the Samsung R530 is an excellent candidate as a desktop replacement laptop for use around the house. If you're not hung up on battery life, it won't disappoint.
