Long zoom range, Optical steady shot and near silent focus motor

Sharp at wide angle end, as with most super zooms sharpness drops at long end. Has feel of quality construction, nice to use. Good all purpose lens to keep on the camera most of the time.

Bulky compared to camera body, a little on the heavy side. Would be nice in black finish to match the camera.

Well made and enjoyable to use. Quick to focus, very impressive image quality. Dont be an idiot like me and forget to get a filter on it though, the lens (like any other lens) marks incredibly easily. Hola UV is the way to go.

Quite heavy in compared to its Tamron counterpart. Sits very large on the camera, could do with a stiffer focal length bezel. If left without the lock on, the lens will extend to its full focal length (200mm) on its own! Not a big deal though and this...

Shadows the built-in flash on the NEX7 rendering it (flash) useless, but it's not a huge issue really.
