I own several Iomega external drives. My 2TB drives are used for multimedia storage to play video, music files. To do this, I must connect the drive into a DVD player that has a USB port so I can play the files to my LCD TV. The drive described on...

Great buy

Just a great item to own, just wish newegg had the 2TB when I bough this one :(

Easy to use on both Linux and Windows Vista, easy to use remote, drag and drop on PC or plug in an external drive copy and paste info from one to the other that simple

Can get a bit hot if left playing, such as watching an entire season, for more than 4 or 5 hours at a time

This is what I did when I plugged in the USB… copied all the files, had it plugged to my home theatre and it was ready to go. It's got a simple interface

A friend suggested that if I have loads of files all in different formats then I should go for 34499 because most of them are compatible. Now that's true...but it has got only a fairly decent transfer speeds, would have been great wit better a rate,...
