Iomega ScreenPlay

The Iomega ScreenPlay falls far short of its promise to organize and back up your multimedia files.

Quite portable. IR remote. Built-in multimedia controls. Great concept.

Slow boot-up times. "Easy to use" interface is slow to the point of uselessness. Limited video playback (no QuickTime, no WMV). No playlist support. Expensive for external storage.

Iomega Screenplay

Given the prevalence of digital cameras, MP3 players and fast broadband speeds, it is no suprise that many of us now have a significant amount of phot...

Connect directly to TV, small and light, Remote Control

Expensive, no Component/DVI output, no support for WMV

The Iomega Screenplay offers a convenient interim solution for viewing photos, music and movies on a television. Be prepared to pay a premium for the extra functionality though.

Iomega ScreenPlay HD Media Player

HD Media Players are now more or less known as single-function-devices with the continuous rise of gaming consoles and 3D Blu-Ray Media Players, which offer much more in terms of features and functionality.

The Iomega ScreenPlay TV Link DX HD Media Player retails for Rs. 8,999. It might not be on the cheaper side, but with the looks, quality and features, this just might be the budget media player you're looking for to complement your TV.

ScreenPlay DX HD review

The ScreenPlay stores up to 2TB of music and video

Up to 2TB storage; supports wide range of audio/video formats; WiFi adaptor included

Erratic music track listing in browser interface

We had no trouble playing any of our music and video test files, but we did discover an odd bug that causes the ScreenPlay DX HD to sometimes list songs in alphabetical order rather than following the original CD track numbers. That’s something that...

Iomega ScreenPlay MX HD Media Player

The ScreenPlay MX will play most formats that you throw at it, with the benefit of a solid 1 TB of onboard storage space thrown in for good measure.

Very handy and easy to use, 1 TB of onboard storage, good software included.

No HDMI cable included, slight delay when scrolling through directories.

Iomega screen play

It gets a little warm, so when you are not using it, turn it off. It has an indicator LED, blue for on, red for off. Just make sure that when you are done, the LED is red.

Small, works like a champ, does everything masterfully. Little keyboard is a neat twist that makes browsing a snap. This does what they claim and it is rock solid stable

I like this little fella too much to say anything bad about it

DO NOT BUY THIS

works as advertised....if you play files smaller than 1gig

seriously, what use is an HD media player than can't play files larger than 1gig....it will play but chokes at the 1gig mark - unit becomes totally unresponsive and must be unplugged. Check Iomegas user support forum for the horror storys related this...

Waiting for 2TB ScreenPlay Director

People, the Iomega 1TB ScreenPlay Director 34650 is just what I wanted. And a 1 TB space for this price is really Cooool ; It has no problems with any filetype that I want it to play. I tried out MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 (DivX /XViD/AVI), H.264, MP3,...

I think I would require a 2 TB for my office. Is it out, yet

Your home theater's best companion

I badly needed a media player as I needed it to connect to my home theatre or television. I have 1 HT and 2 televisions to cater to the entire family. Also, I needed something that could play all files (of any type) plus a huge storage ; I think I have...

The design is really good. But took a little while to read through the instructions completely and get accustomed to the handling… Still, many Thanks to HD MP 34650 as I now get max entertainment and can store data on home network

Just what I needed

I was tempted to order the Wifi addon so that I could connect with my network, but decided against it. I pulled a usb Dlink wifi card and tried it and to my surprise it worked :) I was able to connect to a network but I was unable to connect to my...

So far it plays everything I throw at it, from HD videos that I have downloaded to homemade ISO images. My wife loves the fact that I can take it to whatever room we want to watch TV in ; Really easy to copy files over to the hard drive

No information on how to setup thumbnails for movies. I expected this would be a problem seeing as how this product is so new. As of yet I have only seen one thumbnail show up and I really did nothing to cause it but to watch a movie ; The remote takes...
