Acer T232HL

While many of the major monitor manufacturers are waiting for the 2013 CES event in Las Vegas to announce their new Windows 8 product lines, Acer got a leg up on the competition with the release of its T2 line of touch-screen monitors earlier this...

Gorgeous design. Excellent touch response. USB 3.0. Great color and viewing angle performance

Pricey. Reflective screen. Tinny speakers

The Acer T232HL is the first Windows 8–certified touch-screen monitor to hit the labs, and it's a winner.

Acer T232HL - Touch Comes to the Desktop

Windows 8 has brought about its shift in how we use our computers and its focus on having a more unified experience for phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop PCs. As those first two systems are primarily touch-oriented, desktop computers are suddenly...

I’ve tried hard to separate my feelings for Windows 8 from the Acer T232HL display, but they are still linked together somewhat. Anyone buying a touchscreen display is likely buying it for Windows 8 now, and if the interface only supports it so well,...

A touchscreen on your desktop: 3 new displays

Getting Windows 8? You're going to want a touchscreen. We look at three of the latest monitors from Acer, Dell and ViewSonic.

Inexpensive, traditional upright design, bright screen

Screen recessed from bezel, wobbles when touched, no HDMI ports, two-finger touch, brightness not uniform

If all you care about is getting an inexpensive touchscreen monitor, the ViewSonic TD2220 does the basics well at a great price. But it has an annoyingly recessed screen, wobbles too much and only responds to two fingers at a time.

Acer T232HL Touch 23in monitor

Add a touchscreen to your Windows 8 PC or notebook with this 23in monitor from Acer

Good touch responsiveness ; Useful tilt angle ; Good colours and clarity

Reflections can be very annoying ; Menu buttons aren't great

Acer's 23in Touch monitor is a good one to go for if you've got a Windows 8 PC or notebook that doesn't already have a touchscreen monitor. We like its image quality and the fact that it can be tilted until it's almost flat.

Monitor Used On Household Common Use PC

This is a great option and the price is better than stand-alone monitors of the same screen size. Refurbished may make you hesitate, but my experience has been good.

Using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and it worked out of the box. Bright colors, large, control buttons (on/off, volume, source, etc) easy to access. This screen was purchased for the family common use computer to replace an old CRT screen, so the change is...

Refurbished always bothers me, but this screen worked perfectly right out of the box. It's been a little over a month of daily use, so hopefully my luck continues ; Speakers are very low volume, but that's standard (just be aware you'll need other...

Awesome!

I have purchased a total of 3 of these. Two for myself and one for my neighbor. I had windows 8 running on the 1st one and touch was perfect. Now have windows 10 on all my machines and this monitor loves 10 also.. Running a dual screen setup with my TV...

Touchscreen works great. Also works as a USB 3.0 three port hub with the additional ports it has on it. Have had no USB 3.0 disconnect issues

One arrived with broken screen but was quickly swapped out overnight by Newegg

Some things that might help you

When I first got this turned on it wouldn't recognize my hdmi connection until I restarted my computer, (duh) the recommended screen resolution leaves 1 inch black bands around the sides so I had to reduce to 1600 x1064 to fit the whole screen. When I...

Glass screen, no corners to get dirty, touch works good with usb 2.0 port, Drivers automatically installed on my Windows 10 Pro

Disconnects usb 3.0 often, must use usb 2.0, takes up a lot of space

Quality display, super heavy

The entire screen is a flat, glass surface. This provide a nice glossy look but might irk those who prefer matte displays - though I would say its a matter of personal preference that happens to be a con for most people.

For the price, this is easily one of the best touch screen IPS displays you can get. I've had no issues with the touch functionality - bought this to supplement my non-touch windows laptop ; If you plan to keep this on it's stand, the kickstand style...

Very heavy, won't work with most monitor arms. I made the mistake of getting a monitor arm incapable of handing the weight of this monitor, so i couldn't have a 'floating' monitor to switch from comfortable positions of regular use and touch use on the...
