Acer XG270HU

The Acer XG270HU is a sharp-looking 27-inch gaming monitor that uses AMD's FreeSync technology to deliver smooth gaming performance.

Sleek design. Sharp WQHD image. AMD FreeSync enabled. Good gaming capability. Speedy refresh rate.

Middling color and grayscale performance in our tests. Tilt-only stand. Narrow viewing angles. No USB ports.

Conclusion The Acer XG270HU is a fine choice if you're a gamer who wants a 27-inch gaming monitor that provides smooth action and looks good doing it. It uses a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1ms pixel response to keep motion blur and ghosting at bay, and it...

Acer XG270HU Review

Our first FreeSync monitor touches down, but can it give the pricey Asus Swift a run for its money?

Acer XG270HU 27-inch FreeSync Monitor Review

We've had G-Sync monitors for many months now, but AMD fans had to wait for FreeSync screens. Today we're looking at Acer's 27-inch QHD XG270HU.

144Hz • FreeSync • Contrast • QHD resolution • Out-of-box color • Value

No height, swivel or portrait adjustment • No USB ports • TN panel

Acer has delivered cutting-edge technology at an attractive price point. Gamers want panel speed, high resolution and the latest video processing and the XG270HU delivers on all counts. The only flaw is its TN panel but it is one of the best examples...

Beautiful Picture and The Right Price

For those who believe you cannot tell the difference between 60hz and 144hz, I will let you know that you can, and it is appreciable. Whether catching a frame that was otherwise missing previously that adds to the fluidity of the experience or simply...

This monitor is good looking and the cheapest I've found on the market. It is well worth the purchase for anyone vacillating about upgrading to a 2K or 144hz monitor. Don't waste your money buying G-Sync or other proprietary gimmicks at a premium,...

The display port cable or monitor has had issues with its connection from time to time. I finally found the right angle for it, but it would randomly have anomalies and shut off due to a connection issue on the monitor side of the cabling. Not worth an...

2k 144hz on the cheap!

Great monitor, better viewing angles and color accuracy than I expected from an inexpensive TN panel this size light design and construction doesn't take much space on desk

No mini display port adapter in the box (no freesync without it since pretty much every AMD card decent enough to push 144hz@2k will only have mini display port instead of fullsize display port outputs) Was only able to get 144hz through Dual link DVI...

Very Prominent Screen Flicker

Only used for gaming, total usage per week is about 2-3 hours. I would recommend this monitor to others, sometimes you get a bad egg, this monitor was fantastic while it lasted.

- High resolution - High refresh rate - Looked great for ~5 months

Prominent screen flicker has started. There is a cycle of 3 rapid "flickers" every second. During the flickers the monitor goes dim, not black, and the resolution seems to fluctuate. I have tried different graphics cards, different inputs, different...

Nearly perfect

Good price and specs. I love playing games on it; Free Sync is amazing.

The stand could be a bit better. I have 1 stuck pixel in the lower left corner. I rarely notice it though, so it isn't that big of a deal to me.

Great monitor for gaming, Very shaky though

This is the second monitor I have bought from newegg. The first one was a Hanns-G 27.5 inch 16:10 (1920 by 1200) monitor which is still alive and kicking. I'm not expecting everything to be perfect when I order but newegg has had great customer service...

Looks crisp and clean Light weight Thin with Super thin edges I'm probably one of the only people who likes the orange-ish color of the monitor RMA process is fairly clean so far By far the price of the monitor could not be touched for the features...

Mine came with a column of dead pixels It was shipped in just the monitor box which felt secure but I feel like to avoid problems like I had they should have added an extra box just for security. **update: I got my replacement and everything came...
