ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q 27-in Monitor Review - NVIDIA G-Sync at 2560x1440

NVIDIA G-Sync was announced at a media event held in Montreal way back in October, and promised to revolutionize the way the display and graphics card worked together to present images on the screen. It was designed to remove hitching, stutter, and...

, the display for which NVIDIA released a mod kit to allow users that already had this monitor to upgrade to G-Sync compatibility. It worked, and I even came away impressed. I noted in my conclusion that, “there isn't a single doubt that I want a...

Review: ASUS ROG Swift PG278Q

G-SYNC is Nvidia's new proprietary technology, built into select new gaming screens. It forces the display to be a slave to the graphics card, only updating the screen when the graphics card has a new frame ready for it. It's the opposite to the way...

I guess I got one of the good ones.

Like the title says, I guess I got one of the good ones. I read all of those bad reviews and still ended up purchasing this. I'm about 7 months in with absolutely no issues at all. Fingers crossed I don't run into problems.

-Great colors and viewing angles for a TN panel. -Anti-Glare is not noticeable once you get used to the monitor in my opinion. -Super easy to use menus. -Comes up from sleep extremely quickly. -Image looks amazingly sharp, as well as the design.

-Some back light bleed when the screen is 100% black, but otherwise not noticeable. It's to be expected with a monitor of this size. Not quite worth putting as a con. I only saw it because I was looking for it.

Bought this for a new rig I assembled last week. Coming from a 21" 1080p monitor, this was a big upgrade. My new rig currently has a i5-4690k and GTX 970 and it works great (Upgrading to a 1070 or 1080). Running at 2560x1440 at 144Hz, games like Dark...

Quite happy

It's pricey but on par with other offerings right now. I've had zero dead pixels or setup issues. It's a TN panel so perfect viewing angles are by definition abysmal as anyone who ever used a TN panel can tell (lol, 160deg? just imagine me doing a...

- 144Hz goodness - Slim bezel - Build quality - Looks very good - VESA mount

Not that there is a better choice on the market at the moment, but I'm ducking an egg for being duped by their 6mm bezel claim. Yes, the inner part of the frame (the bezel?) might be 6mm but outer edge of the actual frame to outer edge of the actual...
