BenQ RL2240H review

BenQ is looking to cash in on the lucrative gaming market with its latest 22in monitor, the RL2240H. It's aimed specifically at real time strategy players, who need rapid response times and precise detail to stay on top of their opponents at all times....

An interesting concept, but few people will see the benefit in this gaming-specific monitor

BenQ RL2240H review

The RL2240H also supports plenty of configuration options, with a likable onscreen menu system that's reminiscent of OS X's Finder. Bizarrely, you can even scale the display settings to match those of a 17in or 19in 4:3 monitor.

If you’re on a tight budget, BenQ’s RL2240H would appear to offer good value. Its TN technology can’t match the quality of IPS, however, and you’ll find better colour accuracy and viewing angles if you instead plump for the £9 more expensive AOC.

Low price

The lightness of the monitor could mean it’s easier to knock over.

Overall, we’re very impressed with the performance of the BenQ RL2240T monitor considering it’s low price. For those on a budget, it’s one of the better options thanks to the inclusion of the HDMI port and the dedicated picture mode for gaming.

Looks sleek, nice display (even has eco mode!) It doesn't wobble!! Nice size perfect for films and games Great refresh rate Can't fault it really! Very pleased! Cheapest white monitor I could find :)

No HDMI included but hey, at £2 to buy one its not the end of the world is it? Had some trouble adjusting resolution but maybe that's just me!
