HP L1906

HP's L1906 business monitor costs a mere $329, so it would definitely be tempting if cost were a main concern. But shop around. This model's mediocre image quality and near-total lack of features make it difficult to recommend.

Low price

So-so image quality Sparse features

Like most corporate monitors, the L1906 doesn't bother with many features. Although its OSD has a nice gray-and-black appearance, it offers only basic screen controls. The sole physical adjustment, tilt function, moves smoothly but stiffly. The L1906...

HP L1906 review

HP L1906: Basic business LCD

Easy to set up and use; good image quality; easy-to-navigate onscreen menu.

Not adjustable; lacks DVI port; poor viewing angles.

The VGA-only HP L1906 is as functionally simple as LCDs get these days, and while there's nothing wrong with simplicity, other 19-inch LCDs, such as the Westinghouse LCM-19v5, have more features and cost less.

Hewlett-Packard L1906 19-inch LCD monitor Review and Prices

Hewlett-Packard's L1906 has a temptingly low price for a 19-inch display, but its unimpressive image quality and limited features should inspire most consumers to give it a pass. The L1906 is designed for the business market, which may partly excuse...

Hewlett-Packard L1906 19in LCD monitor

The HP L1906 adds yet another option to the 19in LCD monitor category

Low price

So-so image quality, sparse features

The monitor's overall build quality is excellent, and the finish is elegant. However, given its price tag the HP L1906 is not particularly a value buy.

HP L1906 19in LCD monitor

The HP L1906 adds yet another option to the 19in LCD monitor category. However, considering the fact that most 19in versions are widescreen, the standard 4:3 HP L1906 19in has limited appeal.

To sum it up, the HP L1906's performance veers towards a product aimed at office use. On the design and usability front, the monitor can only be adjusted vertically. It also lacks a DVI input and has no built-in speaker. The OSD controls are pretty...

HEWLETT PACKARD SMART BUY 19IN LCD 1440X900

Good brand backs the preety decent screen. I needed a reliable widescreen LCD not bigger than 19" and with D-SUB (15-pin VGA) input. This model was just right for me, with no extras.

Good picture quality, compact size (19"), stable support, power indicator LED can be switched off by going into the menu (these can be disturbing)

D-SUB connector only (no DVI or HDMI), viewing angles (up and down) seem not to be as high as described

HP L1906

I thought it was odd that a modern monitor only had Dsub connector, and I thought it would not look very clear, but it looks great.

Looks great for only having D-Sub connector. No dead pixels, good brightness

No height adjustment, only D-Sub connector
