HP L1955

The attractive HP L1955 LCD monitor looks like many other 19-inch models on the market, but it goes beyond the basics with a variety of appealing extra features. Along with the 1,280-by-1,024 panel's performance, that makes it our new Editors' Choice...

Good image quality. Versatile stand includes rotation to portrait mode. Excellent viewing-angle performance

Skimpy printed documentation. Faint ghosting on analog signals

The HP L1955 is priced competitively with other premium 19-inch LCD monitors, but it does more-and does it better than most. Portrait-mode rotation, excellent viewing angle, and multiple inputs make this a winner.

Hewlett-Packard L1955

Dual inputs, quick menu, pivot and height adjustment

Slight reduction in quality with VGA signal, slight blurring in high-speed scenes

Dual inputs, pivot functionality and height adjustment make the HP L1955 a quality screen at a reasonable price. And a three-year warranty doesn't hurt either.

Happy Camper

I liked the first one so much, bought a second one. Running dual monitors on XFX 7600GT dual DVI. DVI noticably better results then VGA connection after brief test.

Crisp text, good colors, plenty of cables. Stand is very substantial and sturdy, best I've seen. Very narrow bezel. No dead pixels

DOA

It sure looks nice. Easily adjustable, comes with everything you need to hook it up. Power/VGA/USB/DVI cables

Doesn't work! I plug it up, power it on and I see my desktop, for about 1 second - then it goes blank. No OSD, nothing. I swapped it with another 19" monitor at the recommended resolution and it did the same thing. Went through troubleshooting from the...

Excellent

I love this display.

I really love this display; crystal clear, no dead pixels, backlight bleeding very very minor. Response time is just fine for fast paced games; I seriously cannot notice any motion blur or ghosting when playing Quake4 or Call of Duty 2. Color...

None that I have noticed

Good monitor for a good price

I am using a 6800 GS AGP video adapter. I also used this monitor with my previous TI4200 AGP with similar good results. Motion blur (erroneously called "ghosting" by most people), is acceptable, but obviously not as good as a CRT. If you want the most...

This is a solidly built monitor. It arrived with no dead pixels (that I can see) in pefect condition. It has a full range of adjustments (tilt, height, swivel, pivot). It also features 4 USB ports (2 on bottom, 2 on left side) ; The text is very clear...

The only thing that I wish that it had was the "clear" finish that some Son**'s have. The clear finish gives an image that looks more "CRT-like". This screen has the standard matte finish (which I knew beforehand) that most flat panels have ; The...

Wowsa Wowsa Wowsa!

I replaced a 19" CRT CAD monitor with these two puppies. Though LCD monitors will never be of the same quality as a great analog, these are the next best thing. I do a lot of photo editing and had some initial concerns--not anymore. No one will be...

Superb color, saturation, and contrast. Clarity is exceptional, and I have not have any problems with ghosting.A very sturdy monitor with a lot of position options. I use two of them and it is truly one of the finest set-ups I have ever seen--I also...

As I stated above, I purchased two of these and one of them had some contrast issues. I contacted HP two days after the monitors arrived and told them of my problem. They were superb in responding. I basically sent in my "problem" on a Friday evening,...
