LG L2000CE review

LG's L2000CE is a sleek, classy-looking monitor, and its silver bezel is one of the thinnest in the group.

LG Flatron L2000C

The success of the Chocolate phone has given LG some positive attention. So has any of that design influence transferred to its monitor division?

Flatron split-screen set-up mode, good video performance, DVI and VGA support, colour control and customisation, profile already built in to OS X

Unexciting silver design and chunky base, no height adjust, some compression of highlights and lowlights, no USB socket

The L2000C is a successful trade-off between quality and value. It's not quite the best monitor money can buy, and the OSD and controls could be simpler. But display quality is good, video performance is crisp, and there are enough colour control...

Weird buzz

Wish it would of came with mini WiFi adapter.

Good viewing angles. I'm also a big fan of the 1600x1200 shape -- it allows two side-by-side blocks of text, 10x20 pixel font, 79 columns, 59 rows. Perfect for programming ; Decent price

Weird electronic buzz/hum noises with some image patterns. This is using the DVI input. My (discontinued, sadly) Samsung 204T doesn't have this problem at all, even with the same patterns. I know this because I run the two dual-head ; If you're not...

Life's Good with this monitor!

Would really recommend for the people like me who want a bigger monitor thats not widescreen and not overly expensive. Trust me it's a real great monitor, next time i get another LCD it will be a LG most likely. Guess they discontinued it because of...

For the price of this monitor you cant beat it ; Great if your longing for a 19"+ LCD ; Resolution at 1400x1050 is just perfect not to small. Love th3 stand with the hight feature and the swivel for designing long pages in photoshop or coding ; Very...

Height adjustment is not real smooth but thats ok i guess and the viewing angle goes kind of horrible when your viewing with the monitor vertically

Great Monitor

Order arrived in 2 days.

This is my second LG 20" LCD, both have been great w/ no dead pixels. Nice for those who need 19"+ but do not want widescreen

Great Monitors

f-engine? what does it do? the only one the many a difference is "Movie" and its not a good one. Buy these, the response time, height/pivot/rotate, color, and res., are all great for the price.

Running on Digital they have great color, many user selectable menu options. Includes Gamma adjustment in menu, most LCDs don't. Auto Adjustment works flawlessly. Rotate is nice for a Coder/Doc Writer. Height/pivot is great

Only one DVI port? Not a big deal but two would be nice

The perfect 2nd monitor

I've found that nothing will improve the usability of a PC more than a 2nd monitor. This is particularly important for software developers (such as myself) or power users. It is also very nice when using a TV tuner card to want to watch and browse. ...

This is a great monitor with stellar sharpness and superb color rendition ; But, more than that, it is the perfect 2nd monitor to go alongide a 22" 1680x1050 widescreen. The 1050 vertical pixels matches my other monitor, which makes spanning windows...

I found that using the DVI input work fine to get an accurate color balance, but that using the VGA source didn't calibrate properly

both of mine have been blurry

This monitor has a lot of setup options - it took a long time to try them all, and it's possible there is a combination out there that makes the picture right. If so it's not documented in the manual.

I like the resolution, pivot ability, and moderate price

I just can't get this to be sharp. I have had 4 other LCD monitors, and have never had an issue with the sharpness ; The first one came with minor shipping damage which I assumed to be the cause of the blurriness, and so returned it at UPS's expense....

Outstanding Buy

In case you haven't tried using a wide screen for a desktop, don't. Great for watching movies, terrible at everything else ("everything else" is what I use a computer for :) Couldn't get the supplied pivot software to work on my XP system. D/L...

The ONLY affordable "normal" aspect ratio rotatable screen I could find. Works quite well. Buy it

Detail in areas of high/low brightness & low contrast are very dependent on viewing angle

Discontinued??? Part 2

I ordered this monitor on Sunday 8/19, it shipped on Monday 8/20, and was at my door on Wednesday 8/22. What can I say except NewEgg rocks, big time. :) :)

Well, I'm back. I've had this monitor about 2 full days now, and I have nothing negative to say about it. I took it out of the box, attached the stand, and hooked it up to the analog output of my ATI All In Wonder 9600. Perfect, no adjustments, I...

Zero (0), but I guess the reason why LG discontinued this model was due to the fact that the world is going to wide screen. Not me, I'm from the old school. The 1400 x 1050 resolution is very eye pleasing. I'm glad I didn't go for a monitor with a...
