LG Flatron W2252TQ 22-inch LCD Monitor

A word of caution for those with a phobia for fingerprint smudges: the LG Flatron W2252TQ isn't really the monitor you will want to get despite its decent performance. It also comes with a few interesting functions that may or may not be of interest to...

LG Flatron W2252TQ

With CRTs going the way of the dinosaurs it is no longer a case of 'do you use an LCD' but 'how big is it'? Many consumers will be looking to purchase...

Sharp image, nice detail in dark areas, no ghosting, good colour balance

Some minor banding and noise issues, viewing angle problems

LG's Flatron W2252TQ is a solid mid-range 22in monitor that features a few fun features and image quality that is suited to desktop users and gamers alike.

LG W2252TQ review

With a number of new models coming out at once, you might imagine that LG Electronic's LG W2252TQ 22in flatpanel monitor would have trouble standing out. Luckily, it has a couple of upgrades that allow it to sprint ahead of the W2242S reviewed last month.

Some potential buyers may be annoyed by the lack of HDMI, but this can be rectified by an adaptor and/or cable. Otherwise, the LG W2252TQ is a rather sizzling flat-panel, aimed primarily at home (particularly gaming and home entertainment) users, so...

LG W2252TQ

Great performance at an entry-level price and stylish to boot

Out of the box the blue is set a little low, but using the menu system to bump it by 10 points fixed it. Otherwise, everything was set correctly and we had no other complaints. The dynamic contrast – rated at an astonishing 10,000:1 – is good enough to...
