Viewsonic V3D245 review

We've seen 3D monitors that use Nvidia's 3D Vision technology before, but they've only been able to work in 3D when connected to a PC. With the Viewsonic V3D245 24in Full HD display, the active shutter transmitter, required to synchronise the glasses...

Despite its 3D premium, the V3D245 looks cheap, has limited image quality controls and annoying touch-sensitive buttons, and image quality is no better than an ordinary TN panel

REVIEW: ViewSonic V3D245 3D monitor

Like it or loathe it, it seems 3D is here to stay, be that on your living room TV, your local cinema screen or even in your pocket on a mobile device. 3D's near-imminent ubiquity even extends to the office, with 3D an increasingly common feature of the...

While its build is a little rough around the edges (those touch buttons annoy in particular), the simplicity of having Nvidia's 3D Vision tech so seamlessly integrated into the display is a joy. Superb in both 2D and 3D, the ViewSonic V3D245 will be...

extremely disappointed with reliability of monitor. when it works it's pretty great, but the lack of support from AMD for 3D, loooong startup and random shutdowns ruin it for me. I would not buy again, and you can't since it's apparently been...

fast refresh rate ; great colors ; decent black reproduction ; 3D works well (and includes 1 pair glasses)

looongest startup time i've ever seen ; touch activated menu buttons impossible to see/feel in dark room ; randomly shuts off ; randomly switches to different AV mode, not a big deal when watching Netflix but horrible when gaming ; 3D has severe...

Very pleased.

It could use a more sturdy stand, I have a shakey desk and had to move my desk up against the wall to minimize the shaking of the screen. Could modify something to counteract this but they could have made the stand a with a larger base.

Bought this to replace my ViewSonic VX2260wm because I was getting too much screen tearing in Sleeping Dogs video game, completely solved my issue and the visual quality is amazing ; 120hz compliments my gaming pc very nicely ; Not much trailing and no...

The black seems a bit lighter than usual, could just be the contrast difference as I am used to 20,000:1 instead of 20million ; 3D works great but the nvidia glasses are kind of uncomfortable during long use

Awesome Monitor

This monitor turns on and off automatically when the computer is started or shutdown. Most of the time this means that the start up screen is not displayed. Not really an issue but it can be an inconvenience at times.

Works great. Excellent picture quality. Nuff said

I had an issue where one half of the monitor became slightly darker than the other half (literally split right down the middle). Unplugging the monitor and allowing the capacitors to drain resolved the issue ; Speakers are garbage. Don't buy this...

happy camper

I usually don't post reviews, but this monitor is one of those large purchases that I'm very satisfied with. There's no dead pixels on the monitor, it arrived on a timely basis, and I've been playing 3D games without any issue. The screen is very...

Excellent video 3D very good low thermal load

Color saturation is excellent for high resolution. The 3D high resolution quality varies with the video source and high res. 3D does heat up the video cards more than expected.

Not the best

Guys "black light bleed" both had awful black light bleed and I read way to many put up with it. I tried to contact Viewsonic and no lie to this day NOTHING phone call, live chat email (about problems) There is a new 3D monitor out and has no black...

3D looks wonderful, fast. When 3D worked it was great. Had AWFUL black like bleed in 2D with Blacks. In 3D again when it worked hard to notice it. But playing a game in just 2d.. awful. One of the worst 3D monitors. I saw the new Benq and WOW no bleed...

This one has some kind of lighter on the right side and darker on the left and you can see the 1/2 easy. This is the 2nd one I have tried (2nd one here). Newegg is AWESOME ; The 3D gets stuck on way to many times or does not come on

Very nice gaming monitor

It's worth the money if your looking for a gaming monitor. So far I'm very happy with it.

Slim and clean design. Easy access on the buttons. I purchased this monitor for mainly 2d image gaming, playing my mmos. image is very very clear and nice refresh rate with my 2 gtx 580 in sli. It looks just sick playing Rift :)

Two things and not really bad. When you first open the monitor from the box you may see the bottom of the monitor and think it is broken. It scared me at first when I thought the trim had come off. It's designed like this but first glance can throw you...
