Zalman ZM-M220W 3D Display

Rarely do you see a 22-inch display float near the price points of superior 24-inch panels. It's just unheard of, for a smaller display would have to offer some kind of fantastic upgrade over what we typically find in this size classification to be...

Great at reproducing dark grayscales, 3D imaging a neat effect (at first), some of the best ergonomics we've seen

3D effect more bust than boom for most games, ample amount of banding, poor color saturation, few connection options

Three dimensional monitors are as much of a niche as physics cards and PC wind simulators. Even if we never used this added feature and just considered the ZM-M220W for what it is, we’d be looking at an overpriced and underperforming 22-inch display....

Zalman Trimon ZM-M220W Stereo Monitor Review

No matter how many polygons or light sources contemporary graphics cards can create in a single frame, the real world has one principal difference from the virtual world: it is truly 3-dimensional. Luckily, the situation is not hopeless. Meet the new...

Zalman Trimon ZM-M220W Monitor

Introduction Zalman is mostly known from their high quality cooling solutions, but during the last months Zalman has expanded their product range to cover also other interesting products. New products are FG1000, their new mice, and couple of...

3D-function ; High quality panel ; Pivot ; Image quality ; Price (as 3D-display)

Price (as normal 2D-display) ; 3D-function will work only with Nvidia cards

Zalman’s attempt to enlarge its product range to display markets has been very succesful. The display itself is very high quality and having 3D-function which you can't find in any other display priced in around 600€ is definitely something you should...

Zalman ZM-M220W 3D monitor review

It's time to get stereoscopic…

Watch movies in 3D ; Get inside games ; Excellent panel

Long set-up process ; Technology not refined ; High price

Playing games in 3D at the click of a button is an incredibly satisfying experience - but the cost might be too high for most people

Zalman ZM-M220W review

Want true 3D gaming without coloured glasses or huge headsets? Zalman's new monitor might actually deliver it

Proves that 3D isn’t just a gimmick, but there are still a few technical issues to overcome

Zalman ZM-M220W

The Zalman ZM-M220W is a very good gaming monitor, with decent contrast and colours, but the 3D capabilities aren't as special as we'd hoped.

Excellent for 2D gaming ; Sharp text ; Best 3D system yet

but that's not saying much ; Expensive ; Black levels not up to the best for price

Conclusion The Zalman ZM-M220W is a very good gaming monitor and we think a lot of people will be attracted to the 3D capabilities and, while they do work, we don't see anyone using them for any extended period of time.

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Best 3D monitor on the market period.

If you have seen any of the recent 3D movies in the theaters you will have a good picture of what 3D games will look like on this monitor. I have played Half-Life 2, Crysis, Bioshock, Unreal2004, and many other games and they all look sick with this...

This is hands-down the best 3D monitor money can buy and a pretty decent 2D monitor as well. It works using polarized glasses, same as in the movie theater (in fact, the RealD glasses you get in the movies will work with it). The picture quality is...

It is an interlaced solution so in 3D mode you lose some of the resolution. In practice I hardly notice this at all, but if you are trying to read small text in 3d that can be a problem. The image is also a tad darker in 3d mode, but that goes the same...
