Microsoft Arc Keyboard hands-on

Microsoft's Best Buy-exclusive Arc Keyboard still won't be hitting stores for another couple of weeks (February 21st, to be specific), but we were lucky

Sleek, compact design ; Magnetic storage for USB receiver ; Great for a non-primary PC

A bit too small for full-time use ; Arrow keys replaced by single d-pad key ; Somewhat pricey

Microsoft Arc Keyboard Special Edition

Microsoft's affordable Arc Keyboard Special Edition looks small, but is actually sized right and feels great when you're typing.

Excellent design. Keyboard curve is subtle, yet ergonomically pleasing. Strong keystroke feedback. Lightweight and small. Wireless hub is tiny and stores in base.

Green keys. Direction keys all in one somewhat hard-to-press rocker key.

Microsoft Arc Keyboard (Review)

Microsoft has never had a problem turning out innovative, functional products. However, they haven't always been notoriously artistic with their hardware. Apple's products have a level of aesthetics that give them an upper hand in the market...

Microsoft Arc Wireless Keyboard

The Arc is best suited for casual users looking to save on desk space, or perhaps HTPC enthusiasts who are put off by competing products' smartphone-like keyboards and already have a Media Center remote or wireless mouse.

Driverless, Lightweight and stylish, Familiar layout for touch typists, Low latency, Suitable for gaming, Magnetically-stowed receiver

Fingerprint magnet, D-pad arrow keys are a pain for text selection, No caps-lock indicator, No Menu key, No media controls except volume, No mouse controls

Microsoft Arc Wireless Compact Keyboard

Many people may subscribe to the idea of "a keyboard is a keyboard is a keyboard". People don't just sit in front of a desk and use their computers anymore. Many people have their PCs connected to their televisions for home theater use, or set up in...

Small and lightweight ; Very attractive design ; Wireless with mini-USB adapter that easily stores under keyboard ; Battery life indicator ; Dead simple to set up and use ; Great wireless robustness

Slightly lacking HTPC keys, but it is not necessarily designed to be one ; Not very comfortable after using for an extended period of time

Performance on this keyboard was not an issue. I never noticed any hiccups typing whether I was using it for hours at a time, or using it touch-and-go. The wireless did not seem to be affected by other wireless devices at all, and the range of 15ft is...

Microsoft Arc Keyboard Review

On February 21st Microsoft is introducing the Arc Keyboard exclusively in BestBuy stores. Like Microsoft's Arc Mouse, the Arc Keyboard stands out for its design. About the size and weight of a thick magazine, the Arc Keyboard blends inconspicuously...

Microsoft Arc Keyboard

Battery Life Indicator Glowing light tells you when battery is low. Press function + escape to easily turn the keyboard on and off.

Stowable Transceiver ; Battery Indicator ; Compact & Portable Design ; Windows 7 Certified ; Carrying Sleeve

Non rechargeable batteries ; Matching mouse separate

I've been a fan of Microsoft's hardware products for a long time. That being said, this keyboard is no exception. It is well made, easy to type on and very attractive. It's not designed for every computing environment. But with the micro-receiver that...
