Cyborg R.A.T. Albino Gaming Mouse Review

Despite appearances, there is more to Mad Catz's new Cyborg R.A.T. gaming mouse than just a fancy new white finish.

Overall, the new R.A.T. Albino maintains everything I loved about the original, but makes a few stylistic and functional improvements. Though the changes may not be enough to inspire existing owners to upgrade, new adopters are getting a slightly...

Mad Catz Cyborg RAT-7 Laser Gaming Mouse

Precision is a trait that gamers from all walks of life strive to achieve. Having quick reflexes is vital when proving your worth online; your mouse becomes your weapon, and your virtual existence is held in place by the reliability of its performance....

Customisable ergonomic qualities, comfortable ; Native 5600 DPI sensor ; Soft matte black coating ; Precision aim and thumb scroll ; Programmable buttons ; Replaceable grips

Heavy regardless of weight set up ; Twin-Eye laser tracking has quirks ; No frictionless-scrolling option ; Small PTFE feet feel slightly clingy ; Button/macro profiles are not stored on the mouse ; Not suitable for left-handed users

Using the Cyborg R.A.T. 7 was an interesting experience. The innovation that was conjured to produce this device is tremendously impressive. However, like any product brought to our attention, the final recommendation lies with the overall impression...

Cyborg R.A.T. 7 – Review

Gaming mice. For years companies have branded specific mice as intended for “gaming.” I've gotten my hands on a number of them, and rarely am I impressed enough to continue using them for long periods of time. Honestly, I might use one for a couple of...

If you’re in the market for a new gaming mouse, I’ll recommend the Cyborg R.A.T. 7 hands-down over any other on the market. It’s comfortable, it’s customizable and it just looks plain awesome. What more do you need? The $99 price tag is going to put...

Cyborg R.A.T. 7

Cyborg's R.A.T. 7 is craziness embodied, and we love it. Customisable to the teeth, it's only let down by a slightly unpolished software suite. It is an otherwise fantastic mouse; its unique features ensuring that it earns our Editors' Choice award.

Almost completely customisable to your hand ; Customisable weights ; Precision aim button is genuinely useful

Software and manual needs a usability rework

Cyborg's R.A.T. 7 is craziness embodied, and we love it. Despite its harsh angles, there's a very good chance that after a few hours fiddling you'll find a fit that's perfectly suited to your hand. While it needs attention in the software department,...

Cyborg R.A.T. 7

Is it the Batmobile? Is it a Transformer? Nope, it's the most customisable gaming mouse you might ever lay your hand on.

Looks Great, Works Terrible

Straight out of the box and plugged in it works great. The software is amazing and really easy to use. First month in and it performed well, second month I started to notice some glitches. In the third month of me using it now it is horrible. The...

Awesome Mouse

The only reason for someone to be dissatisfied with this mouse would be if they were looking for a ton of buttons to map out.

Great customization, awesome look, fully programmable, what's not to like

My computer seems to have trouble with the driver but after a restart it does fine, will probably be permanently fixed after a re-download from the website

Awesome!

I see a lot of negative comments, but I have had a positive experience with this mouse!

Highly customizable ; DPI settings can be changed on the fly, as well as using the "sniper button ; looks awesome ; the USB cable is made out of some kind of cloth like material, not plastic so it doesn't tangle up

I haven't found a use for the side scrolling wheel ; Lack of macro buttons

R.A.T. 7

Looks awesome and an ok mouse but i would not buy not worth it. owned it for acouple of months and have to go back to 15 dollar mouse due to troubles

Awesome looks, very customizable, nice dpi range, durable cord

It tends to become a pain after about a month. it will get trapped vertically or horizontally and will cause issue's if you are playing game (key binds f t w) but can be an issue for shooting games

Tracking issues

It's pretty customizable. You can move the thumb rest backward and forward and angle it outward. Sniping button is nice

Just doesn't feel all that comfortable. I'm used to an mx518 and this thing doesn't match it. When you put your hand down, it just doesn't fit right. I have big hands by the way, 6'3
