NZXT Avatar Gaming Mouse Review

Looking for a small, ambidextrous mouse with an incredibly smooth feel? NZXT has what you're looking for with their first ever gaming mouse, the NZXT Avatar.

– Works for both left or right handed people ; – Small design for people with small hands ; – Very smooth ; – On the fly DPI adjustments

– Lacks fine tuning DPI adjustments ; – Not for people with large hands

NZXT AVATAR Crafted Series Gaming Mouse Review

In computing an avatar is a user's representation of himself or herself, and can occur in both two and three dimensions. It's something gamers are very familiar with, along with the need for decent peripherals and how they can affect…

Unique design ; Comfortable to use ; Performs well in desktop and gaming ; Price is right

Ambidextrous design might not fit all ; Software not 64-bit compatible

So we've played some dirty tricks in Photoshop, monkeyed about with our Windows Desktop, and waged war on two virtual battlefields. All this was done with the NZXT Avatar in tow. So where does that place our opinion about our latest gaming companion?

NZXT Avatar Crafted Series Gaming Mouse Review

When it comes to gaming, there are many factors that can alter your playing experience. Having top end components like processors and video cards certainly helps as well as skill. But what if your mouse isn't up to task? Claiming the top spot in any...

Customizability ; Rubber grips ; Ambidextrous ; Looks ; Fast & accurate

Software needs polishing ; No 64-bit support

Your first time doing something is never easy and you never know exactly if you're doing it right or not. So is the Avatar a hit? NZXT definitely got most of it right, not a perfect shot, but nobody can truly achieve that. When it came to speed, not...

NZXT Avatar Gaming Mouse

Hardcore gamers know the benefits of using a high-quality gaming mouse. They track better on more surfaces, react more quickly, have multiple programmable buttons, and are generally more durable and well-built than generic mice. In addition to...

Oversized Teflon feet on the seven-button Avatar’s underside also help the mouse slide effortlessly over most surfaces. Unfortunately, the nearly symmetrical, elongated design isn't very comfortable for those with large hands, and the positioning of...

Cool & Good CPU

Still running well after almost a year. I wish I had gotten one more for my brother lol

Very nice.

This mouse is for the less common, SEMI-clawed grip, which is what I have. If your hand fits snugly on this mouse, it will sweat and the side buttons will be difficult to reach. If you have a clawed grip, you will find that you hit the side buttons too...

The lighting isn't too bright and goes well with a blue led system setup. Looks great with my logitech g110. The buttons are all easy to reach and feel good. DPI is great, you won't really need anything above the max setting. The scroll wheel is not...

The extra buttons are way to easy to push. I know I am going to make a mistake in my first month of ownership with this mouse, but it's not worth docking an egg, seeing as an experienced gamer gets to know his gaming accessories and adapts to them

Dissappointed

Like others have stated, I would not encourage anyone to purchase this mouse with Vista or Win7. Far too many Software issues and it's not worth the hassle

Sleek Design ; Nice clicks ; macro keys worked well ; Sidebuttons functioned

Software Issues with Windows 7 completely killed this mouse for me making it completely worthless ; Hadn't however experienced any issues with Double clicks as everyone else seems to

Double-Clicking Nightmare

Do not buy this mouse. Period. You will just end up wasting your money and end up buying another gaming mouse.

Very stylish ; A very fast mouse ; Made for guys with moderately large skinny hands like myself ; Bind-able buttons fantastic for complex online shooters

The attack of the double-clicking nightmare began apparently much later than most NZXT Avatar owners. Mine began about 2 months of ownership, it was very settle, then increased drastically over time. It is most frustrating when you begin to randomly...

NZXT AVATAR AVTR-001BL Black 7 Buttons USB Wired Optical 2600 dpi Gaming Mouse

I've used quite a number of mice in my day, from $5 to $70+ mice. It saddens me to say I used my old 5 dollar mouse just months after buying this one, so I can't recommend it at all until that hardware problem is addressed. Don't get me wrong, this...

The tracking was very good, quick, precise, not many jumps even on my wood print desk (I've had a problem using optical on patterned surfaces before). The buttons fell right where I like them in my hand, and while I wouldn't say my hands are tiny,...

Ghost clicks killed this mouse for me. It worked absolutely wonderfully for about two months, then I started getting double and triple clicks, from both left and right mouse buttons. After some research, I found that this was not a fluke problem and...
