Excellent mid range optical mouse

I highly recommend this mouse if you need something nice and simple for FPS gaming, especially CSGO

- Great ergonomic shape for a right handed gamer - Perfect amount of buttons for moderate gaming and office tasks - Great optical sensor that is very accurate and works great for FPS like CSGO - Perfect weight, not too heavy and not too light

Earlier versions had issues with the thumb grips but the recent revisions have since fixed those issues

Wheel rattle

Nope

Best fitting mouse for big hands

Just lightly touching the wheel produces a loud tap because there is too much play in whatever is holding the wheel. Really disappointing for a $60 (or even a $10) mouse. Whaddup SteelSeries? I'd rather you spent your money on the product and not the...

Better with new SteelSeries Engine 3 version

I am sure some people will like the feel of this mouse, but for me, it's just not a good fit. And while I am disappointed that it will not work at all on my non-ancient Z77 based computer for some unknown reason (their SENSEI wireless mouse works...

This mouse seems to have a pretty high quality build, as you would expect at this price. The weight is decent, but I would have preferred it to be slightly heavier. The performance of the mouse is very nice. Even before installing the SteelSeries...

Note that this a right-hand only mouse. That does not apply only to the left side buttons, but to the whole grip of the mouse. A lefty will find this mouse very uncomfortable. This mouse is also designed for very large hands. My wife refers to my hands...

Even the 300 has side material wearing issues

I personally would not recommend this mouse and would instead say go for something like a Logitech Proteus Core/Spectrum because I have experience with that mouse and the metal scroll wheel and free scrolling option is fantastic.

Fairly large and simple mouse. Accurate. Steelseries software is decent.

The original Steelseries Rival had horrible side material wear (the spot where your thumb goes on the left side of the mouse), and the is one has less severe side wear but it is still present and pretty obnoxious.

Deadly Accurate Gaming Mouse..

I have had several Gaming Mice over the years and was a little skeptical about the light weight (no weight adjustment option) and found it to be a very easy to control gaming mouse. Very accurate in being dead on target. DPI switching is easy and the...

This SteelSeries Rival 300 Gaming Mouse is Accurate, Light and easy to control. The ‘Engine 3’ Software is a Combo Platform for SteelSeries: Mouse, Headphones and Keyboard all in one program. Very easy to use with setting for 2 DPI’s (50 to 6500),...

A personal con is that there are only ‘2’ DPI setting choices. I do find that 2 can be sufficient for accurate dead on aiming to easy wide coverage. Intermittent, what I’ll call ghost curser movements. Not even touching the mouse and I can see the...
