good for most purposes

 

SD card extension option is great for fast movement of files.

Sometimes if you try to delete files in the PMP it locks up and you must wait for it to come back around again to do anything.

A little more focus on the user interface could make this product perfect. It is not easy to switch between random and normal play, it does not play albums in track order, and you must stop the player before looking for another song to play. This are...

It is cheap, upgradeable and the hardware is well designed

Random play is NOT random. It will play the same 'random' order through your music over and over which will drive anyone insane

Needs better head phones, swappable battery pack option, case that fits unit. Best buy for $$$. Would purchase again.

Nice display. Easy interface. SD card big plus for added movies or additional mp3's. Convertion software full version but not great. Cables also a plus

Internal battry only portable power source, when it is dead that is it, until recharge. big draw back if portability needed. 9 hours for mp3, 3 hours video, estimated. Cannot play .swf games. no brightness control

Li'l P'mp (PMP) Rocks

 

Get the feeling the company is tech oriented so that other things don't matter. The cost is focused on the device itself. This is what most cost conscious power users want anyway. The screen size and resolution is right and personally find the balance...

Extremely multipurpose and memory expansion SD/MMC is a great feature: Portable and intuitive for experienced users, cheap and really does the job, I like the encasing seems a bit sturdier than expected, easy to adapt to the carry on belt method...

Intuitive because I didn't recieve a manual, software is trial version, file deletion in the file system on PCs create errors that seem like file recognition or conversion errors so only do them in "the P'mp

Overall I like the unit, for the price there's not better options. I like a mp3 player but with video option.

Even that 1 gb space seems very little for a video player. Under the format it uses (XviD only Avi) I can fill two full leght (2+ hours) movies there. Case unit is aluminum, and looks very good quality. Good overal audio quality, not the best I saw,...

Screen is 280x220 pixels ( and not 480x234). I plays movies only using Xvid, 15 frames/s BitRate 320kbs, and sreen size 280x220 or less. At this configuration sound and image are nicely synchronized. Software it comes is NOT a demo but a full version,...

There should be a free program around that converts whatever to .avi, I just haven't looked yet. I haven't figured out the USB hosting yet, but I'll right another review later. So far, it's worth the price!!!

Compact, bright screen, high frame rate, plays .swf (flash), .avi video formating, truely plug & play with Win XP, SD slot, can charge & use at the same time, AC-to-USB adapter, very nice retail box, it's not an iPod

can't adjust brightness, yet to find nice playlist setting, thumbstick is flimsy but adequate if you're gentile, conversion software is trial version, stock headphones are a joke
