Canon Pixma iP90v

Canon Pixma iP90v

Text quality has improved over the last version; very compact design makes it easy to carry with you; ink-saving modes can save you in a pinch; PictBridge- and IrDA-enabled.

The printer is expensive, and add-ons such as battery packs make it moreso; photo print speed is slower than that of the older model.

The Canon Pixma iP90v is the Vista-enabled version of the older Pixma iP90 and offers nearly the same print speeds and quality. It's a very useful printer if you travel a lot and need to print often, but consider the purchase carefully because it's...

Canon Pixma iP90 Photo Printer

Along with portability, the Canon Pixma iP90 delivers good or better quality and speed.

Portable. Compares well with most desktop ink jets in both performance and quality. Includes infrared interface for wireless printing, with optional Bluetooth. Optional rechargeable battery.

Heavier than some notebooks, at 4.4 pounds with the AC adapter (and without the battery).

Service and support

Canon Pixma iP90

Good print quality for graphics and photos; portable; built-in infrared and PictBridge ports; battery and Bluetooth add-ons.

Low-volume ink cartridges; so-so text quality; pricey extras. For true cordless portability, you'll need a battery that costs $100.

Ever printed on an airplane? What about from a cell phone? The go-anywhere Canon iP90 offers worlds of possibilities--for a price.

Canon PIXMA IP90

Canon's PIXMA iP90 portable photo printer offers good prints for mobile users. The 1.8kg unit prints better and faster than its predecessor, the Canon...

Fast text printing, clarity of prints

Lacks memory card slots

This portable gives speedy prints, but beware the cost of extras.

Canon Pixma iP90v (with battery)

Here the word portable means no mains and not just with a 15x10cm offering. So for anyone needing to produce documents while away from mains power this is it. It is a product that Canon have successfully produced in various forms for years.

This latest incarnation of the is a little larger simply because the battery fits in an attachment at the rear. The overall dimensions with the battery extension attached at the rear are 31x20x5cm and the weight is such it could easily fit into a bag...
