Canon Canon PIXMA MP510 Color Flatbed All-in-One

Canon's Pixma MP510 is an affordable combination of printer, scanner, and media card reader. The $150 (as of 10/25/2006) model lacks the frills that come with many multifunction printers, such as film scanning and faxing, but you can get the basics...

Low price, dual paper trays ; Top-quality photo prints

Small LCD ; Limited in-printer editing

This basic multifunction printer has dual paper trays and produces high-quality photos, but its color LCD is small.

Canon Pixma MP510 review

Canon's new Pixma MP510 all-in-one is the 2006 refresh of the Pixma MP500 , which performed quite well in CNET Labs. Generally, we see quality and technology improvements with each iteration of a product, but that's not exactly what happened with the...

Very inexpensive; allows for manual control of photo enhancement; built-in IrDA; lots of layout options; decent print speeds; good graphics and photo print quality.

Text and scan quality should be improved; can't use PictBridge port as a USB port for external storage devices; lacks a feature to automatically save contents of a memory card to a PC; lacks dye-based black ink.

The Canon Pixma MP510 is a middle-of-the-road photo all-in-one, but we like what you get for the price.

Canon Pixma MP510

This general-purpose all-in-one prints high-quality photos at an affordable price.

Low price, dual-paper trays, top-quality photo prints

Small LCD, limited in-printer editing

The Canon Pixma MP510 makes an excellent choice if you're looking for a straightforward printer/scanner combo capable of printing good-looking photos, though its colour LCD could be bigger.

Canon Pixma MP510 review

The Pixma MP510 is a hulking beast, but don't let that put you off.

Convenient printing, scanning and more. Prints as well as a dedicated inkjet and scans and copies too, all at an affordable price.

Canon Pixma MP510

The Canon Pixma MP510 is a middle-of-the-road photo all-in-one, but we like what you get for the price.

Simple to set up and operate ; Good quality prints ; Reasonably fast print times ; Copying and scanning functions add flexibility

Printer cable not included ; Software takes some getting used to

Service and support Canon provides a one-year limited warranty for its consumer printers. You can extend the warranty to three years for AU$99. You can also get tech support via e-mail, and Canon says it will respond within 24 hours. Canon's site has...

Canon Pixma MP510

This is an All In One from Canon that, on first glance, appears to have no controls on it at all, just a grey, silver and black rectangular box with a lid on the top of the flatbed scanner.

The is 43x34x15cm when closed. Lift the paper storage tray at the rear and place some A4 in it and this adds 20cm to the 15cm height. The controls all sit under a flip up lid on the right top edge at the front of the unit including the 4x3cm TFT...
