Canon Pixma MX300 review: Canon Pixma MX300

Canon Pixma MX300

Excellent print and scan quality; fast photo prints; inexpensive; lots of capacity options when it comes time to replace the ink; memory can store incoming faxes for later.

Slower than the competition at most tasks; not network-ready; no ADF; no memory card slots; LCD is not backlit.

If you work in a one-person office and are on a tight budget, the Pixma MX300 is a good fit; you won't find better quality output from comparably priced all-in-one inkjets. You'll need to keep shopping, however, if you need built-in networking or fast...

Canon Pixma MX300 inkjet multifunction

The Canon Pixma MX300 colour inkjet multifunction printer offers students and home-office users basic functionality for a low initial price.

Cheap, crisp text

Expensive inks

The Canon Pixma MX330 gives entry-level users a decent multifunction device to work with, but high-volume users would do well to choose a model with less-expensive consumables.

If you print a lot, however, look elsewhere, because the Canon Pixma MX300's inks can be expensive.

Canon Pixma MX300

This is described as an ‘Office All In One' As it is black and grey it is unlikely to pass the ‘lounge police' but apart from that it is not that tall and the output quality is good. It is actually a multi function unit as it has fax.

The dimensions of the Canon Pixma MX300 are 45x42x16cm however the height required will be increased to at least double the 16cm stated when you insert A4 paper (face forward) in the rear near vertical tray, this should also be sufficient to insert...

MX300

Canon usually has good products, but this is not one of them, avoid this one

It scanned fairly well, that's about it

poor print quality, (it smuged every thing I printed) doesn't feed paper properly, quit working after 3 months. (and I didn't use it that much)

Useless

Works great if you want to manually feed this printer 1 sheet at a time.

Good picture quality provided you know how to adjust the settings

On the slow side, used for no more than 50 color prints before the paper failed to load. Cleaned the rollers but the loading mechanism simply will not grab any paper

Canon PIXMA MX300 2182B002 Up to 22 ppm 4800 x 1200 dpi InkJet All-In-One Color Printer - Retail

If you're in the market for a cheap multi-function device, this is the one to get.

It works with Vista. It works with my Canon camera without having to plug in to a computer. It's easy to configure. Canon makes great products, and this one is no exception

Color print quality is a little lacking, but I expected something like that for the price

Disappointment

Not sure about that. I was buying inspired by good reviews here.

LCD menu is useful to do things without computer. It is rather fast

Bad color print quality, never (not even once) loaded paper by itself. Drivers provide excessive interface and tell me - why do we need so many programs installed to connect and use just one simple scanner/printer
