Review: Dell C1660w color printer

The Dell C1660w's low purchase price makes color-laser-class (LED) printing available to budget-minded small offices. Because the toner is expensive and there's no automatic duplexer, it's best for light use only.

Very good text and photo output ; Simple, easy design

No automatic duplexing ; Expensive toner

Dell C1660w Color Printer

The Dell C1660w Color Printer can fit in places few laser-class printers can, and has speed and output quality typical of a budget laser.

Compact. Low price.

Below-par text quality. Lacks auto-duplexer. No port for USB thumb drive. No Ethernet.

Dell C1660w review - cheap laser printer has high toner costs

Setting up the Dell C1660w colour laser printer couldn't be easier. The small footprint means it can be used virtually anywhere. USB and Wi-Fi connectivity are standard. We used the manual Wi-Fi setup, but there's support for WPS as well. A blue Wi-Fi...

The Dell C1660w's expensive toner and light-duty capabilities make it best for small or home offices. Before you reach automatically for a laser, however, it's worth noting that office-minded inkjets offer better speed, competitive print quality, and...

Dell C1660w colour printer

The superlow $199 price for the Dell C1660w makes colour-laser-class printing (using laserlike LED technology) tantalisingly accessible. Its text output looks great, and the colour graphics are very nice indeed. Because the toner is expensive,...

Dell C1660w

I bought this printer to keep at my parents house, as they do not have a computer or anything related. This means that when visiting I needed something compact and that would work after inactivity for a few weeks. Also compatibility with other family...

The only drawback is that it does not seem to support Air Print for my sisters iPad.
