Epson Aculaser C1100

Out of the box the Epson Aculaser C1100 impresses, with solid build quality and styled looks. But the breadbin format gives the Epson Aculaser C1100 a...

Fast time-to-print for a single colour page, outstanding print quality

Doesn't support Ethernet, expensive running costs

The Epson Aculaser C1100 is a good choice for low-volume colour printing, with best of breed output quality, providing you don't mind the slightly higher than average running costs and slow colour output.

Epson Aculaser C1100 review

With its boxy looks and unremitting noise, the AcuLaser doesn't make the world's best first impression. It's designed for small workgroups who occasionally need colour printing rather than single users or home offices, and it shows.

A bit of a chunker, but very fast and good for small workgroups.

Painfully slow with colour, and the quality disappoints

Other colour documents were similarly slow, and this disappointment was heightened when we saw the quality of the output. Blacks were deep enough, but visible dithering and substandard image reproduction put the Epson at the foot of the table for...

Compared to some of the more lightweight models around, you can tell the Epson really means business as you struggle to lift all 28kg of printer out of its box. It's two to four inches larger in every direction than many other desktop colour lasers
