Epson Artisan 835

The Epson Artisan 835 offers fast speed and lots of features for both home and light-duty home office use.

Fast. Prints, scans, and faxes over network. Standalone fax and copier. Duplexer. Automatic document feeder. WiFi.

Slightly sub-par photo quality. Low paper capacity.

Poor quality prints

I wanted to upgrade from my HP PSC 2410 Photosmart printer since it does not print well on 3.5 x 5" card stock. After reading many positive reviews for the Epson Artisan 835, I decided to purchase the printer. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my...

- The printer does very well with 3.5 x 5" card stock. - Epson technical support is very friendly. They even sent me some free ink for the trouble.

- The color is way off using the standard settings. Setting the paper type to "Plain Paper" results in output so dark it's unusable and unrecognizable compared to the screen & other printers. (The monitor had been calibrated.) The only resolution to...

Most disappointing purchase

I wish I had not bought this printer—I would not recommend it to anybody.

It is capable of making high quality color photos. The copy and fax functions work very well

It is expensive to use–it goes through ink quickly ; It was very time consuming (difficult) to calibrate before it would print satisfactory color photos. I don't believe the average user would have known how to make the adjustments ; I have other Epson...

Best Photo's I've ever seen

Setup was pretty easy if you use the CD. As a computer company, the first thing I do is see how far the cd will fly as a frisbe, then DL software off the web site. Here it is easier to install from the cd, then update. For wifi use, install w usb...

Quiet, fast, handles legal paper on scanner & printer, duplex, prints Cd's, wifi N, ethernet, 6 color ink, really does it all. BEST photo's I've ever seen. Really that good! Have used canon & HP MFC's, they don't come close, could never get an HP to...

Flimsy paper tray, epson website for updates is a pain (do u accept? do u wnt to join r email list? timeouts), waste of money for a 7" LCD touch screen, about 3x3 is really mostly used. Price here on the egg is about 100 higher than compUSofA,...
