Epson Perfection V750 Pro scanner

The Epson Perfection V750 Pro is a very similar beast indeed to its Perfection V700 Photo counterpart and as such, it shares much of that model's kit. The same physical design, the same dual lenses one for high-resolution scanning (up to 4800ppi...

Excellent scan quality, excellent range of scanning tools, good software bundle, easy to use, well made

Plastic film holders are flimsy

Better software, better scans (just) with the same great build quality (barring the plastic film holders), to paraphrase Carlsberg’s beer adverts “almost certainly the best flat scanner in the world”.

Perfection V750 Pro

The Perfection V750 Pro is the second of Epson's premium quality flatbed scanners launched this year, following the V700. The two A4 scanners boast the same components, including ...

High-quality output from 35mm or medium format film, similar to dedicated film scanners. Features Digital ICE defect removal, and an optional fluid mounting bed.

Large footprint for its class. Slow when quality-enhancing features are used, SilverFast can't access ICE grain reduction and colour restoration separately.

The V750 is a useful improvement over the V700, and the difference in price is reasonable considering the value of the bundle. The set-up produces fine results even with 35mm originals, but you have to trade quality against speed

Expensive, but worth it

We can't really fault this scanner. The sheer variety of mounts and bits in the box, the bundled software (including colour calibration targets), and the choice of USB or FireWire connectivity makes this an awful lot of scanner for your money. We...

good built quality, lots of useful bits in the box

takes a fair chunk of desk space, not to be used in a hurry

Faulty scanner terrible service.

I've had this scanner since it first appeared on the market and wouldn't have any other. The scans are excellent and the accessories help with the scanning of slides and negatives, which have always come out well. You can go that one step further with...
