Epson Stylus Photo review: Epson Stylus Photo

Epson Stylus Photo

High maximum resolution; prints from multiple sources, including digital cameras and removable media; supports roll paper; easy setup; comprehensive documentation.

Disappointing all-around image quality, including text output; slow as molasses in January; slightly high ink consumption.

This printer's attractive photos and myriad printing options can't offset its weak overall output quality and print speeds.

This six-colour inkjet photo printer can print CD/DVD labels, too.

Software bundled with the machine is all provided by Epson and includes the company's useful Web print utility, which tries to ensure everything from a viewed Web page is printed, by compressing the width of the print image. The installation applet is...

Epson Stylus Photo P50 review

Epson's P50 is the photo printing successor to the R285

Great image quality ; Superb value for money

No standalone printing features at all

If you don't want all the fancy frills of standalone printing, the new P50 makes an excellent choice for printing punchy image quality at a reasonable price

Epson P50 review

While we can understand that not everyone wants a printer that can also scan and copy, we would expect many of today's customers to expect such luxuries as Wi-Fi or colour screens. The Epson P50 looks quite a substantial printer though, and the glossy...

A reasonable quality, reasonably well priced single function printer, the Epson P50 struggles to make its mark against printers that have greater features sets or produce better prints. It's by no means a bad printer, however, and it is a fairly swift...

This compact inkjet produces truly great photos, but it lacks a scanner, card reader or network interface. We expect more at this price.

This high definition printer from Epson uses the company's own Claria Photographic Ink that Epson claims exceeds lab quality prints. When replacing the cartridges you only replace the ink you use, making it cost-effective. It'll even do prints in as...

Epson - Stylus Photo P50

Small, compact and attractive, the Stylus Photo P50 from Epson stands out from the majority of inkjet printers and MFDs in that it's surprisingly light on features. The front of the printer is relatively clutter-free, with ...

The Epson Stylus Photo P50 is a decent photo printer that's able to produce vivid prints. We do have some reservations, though, such as the time it takes prints to appear at the highest-quality setting and the lack of a built-in card reader. We'd also...

I have now come to the mindset that home printing is like pouring money down a drain, having bought three A3+ printers and spending a fortune on inks, only to get very bad results after a few months, using just about a full set of inks trying to get...
