HP Officejet Pro K5400dtn Color Printer

Back when monochrome laser prices were well into four figures, a lot of people called the ink jetthen a fledgling technologythe poor man's laser. I haven't heard that description in a long timenot since ink jets shoved dot matrix printers into a nearly...

Laser-class speed for business applications. Network connector. Built-in duplexer. Two paper trays

Photo quality is far less than ideal. Photos aren't even slightly water resistant

The HP Officejet Pro K5400dtn Color Printer is an affordable business ink jet for a small office or home office, with capable paper handling and top speed for an ink jet.

HP Officejet Pro K5400 review

HP Officejet Pro K5400 series

Decently fast text prints; near to laser quality text; low per-page costs; 24-7 phone support.

A bit pricey for a single-function inkjet; photo prints aren't great; bulky.

A single-function color inkjet, the HP Officejet Pro K5400 ably fills a small niche in the small- and medium-size office arenas. Low cost, fast prints, and high-quality text make this a great printer for offices on a budget who don't have high-volume...

HP Officejet Pro K5400tn

The HP Officejet Pro K5400 is a low-cost, high-quality color inkjet printer targeted at small- and medium-size businesses. The no-frills base model starts at a reasonable $150, and print costs are low, too. Many of the inkjets we've examined in at this...

HP Officejet Pro K5400 (3.5 mice)

The HP Officejet Pro K5400's affordability, speed, and ability to print decent-quality documents and very good photos make it a solid choice. However, businesses will likely be more attracted to this printer line's midrange model.

Fast ; prints decent-quality documents, very good photo prints ; streamlined design

Gray-scale text looks heavy, with occasional smudges ; dots are slightly visible in brighter colors

The K5400 is a little bulky but weighs only 20 pounds, so one person should be able to unpack it safely. Setting up the printer is a quick and easy process. You install the four ink cartridges into color-coded slots, which are conveniently located...

HP Officejet Pro K5400

For an inkjet printer this is big, but in comparison to some so are it's most expensive part it's ink cartridges, hence the claim ‘25% cheaper to run than a laser printer'.

First the all important dimensions for this Officejet printer it is 49x38x21cm and it weights in at 8.8kilos. There are only three buttons on the front edge, the only one you are likely to use is the on/off. There are four tiny LED's to tell you if any...

Works Great.

I bought this for my kids since I have been using the older K550 for a few years now and have yet to run into any problems.

This thing works great. Fast and setup was a breeze

Doesn't make toast

HEWLETT PACKARD OFFICEJET PRO K5400DTN 16/35PPM

I have previously owned HP printers and several others. I have been using a Samsung, color laser. I went back to HP even though the machine takes up a lot of room as it works better, faster, cheaper.

Loads and prints very fast. I love the two paper trays as half of my work is legal size. I think the price is fair considering the options of two trays and duplex printing

Overall machine is on the large side

good printer & bad newegg

I ordered one but newegg sent me two. I had to return one of them, and I paid for it even though it's not my fault, nor theirs newegg said. So I paid #30 more to get one. Such a nice, isn't it? I liked newegg, but not anymore....

fast & ; good quality for text printing

little noisy

HEWLETT PACKARD OFFICEJET PRO K5400DTN 16/35PPM

Note, Duplex printing is slower than regular printing. It pauses long enough for the ink to dry before printing the second side. But it is much simpler than flipping the s and then dealing with the skips and jambs that usually happen when you do a buch...

It was printing the same day it arrived. Instructions were good. Auto duplexing works great. I was happy with the photos I printed

Ink cartridges for the color inks are a little smaller than the one for the HP 1200d that this replaced. Time will tell how this figures into the costs fro I I use this printer
