Officejet Pro L7680

At $400 (as of June 6, 2007), the HP OfficeJet Pro L7680 All-in-One is pricier than many other inkjet multifunction printers, but it comes loaded with nearly everything a small-office could want in a networked MFP. In addition, it combines strong...

Offers fast plain-paper printing

Pricey

All in all, the HP OfficeJet Pro L7680 All-in-One is a good solution for a small office that needs to perform a wide range of printing, scanning, and faxing tasks. It offers fast text printing for an inkjet, better photo quality than a color laser, and...

Review: HP Officejet L7680

HP claims this machine is the fastest all-in-one inkjet on the market, and it seems that's not just hype. It churns out high-quality prints considerably...

Awesome throughput. Four memory card slots and USB port for easy photo printing. Large, 250-sheet input tray. Two-sided printing standard. Nifty scanner feature lets you scan directly to any network share and in multiple formats, including PDF

No Wi-Fi. Monster footprint doesn’t fit comfortably on a desk. Prone to impromptu fits of “checking this device,” taking the printer offline for minutes at a time. Color photos, at 4 minutes a page, aren’t so speedy and aren’t dark enough. Oddly, it...

HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-in-One

The HP Officejet Pro L7500/L7600/L7700 is a new office-oriented inkjet series of all-in-one printers that boasts fast print speeds, high-quality prints, and lots of features. We reviewed the L7680 model, which is a step up from the L7580 base model,...

The HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-in-One multifunction printer has lots of great, office-oriented features such as Digital Filing; a built-in ADF, a duplexer, and media card slots; excellent print quality; fast-enough print speeds for small workgroups;...

Photo menu could be reconfigured to be more intuitive; grayscale scan needs a bit of improvement.

With its wealth of office-oriented features, fast prints, and great print quality, the HP Officejet Pro L7680 is a very compelling all-in-one for small businesses or work groups. We wholeheartedly recommend it.

HP Officejet Pro L7680 All-in-One

I thought I'd wandered into the Twilight Zone when I heard a Hewlett-Packard rep claim that the key advantages laser printers are supposed to have over ink jets—better speed, higher quality text, and a lower cost per page—are all myths. This was...

Laser-class speed for business applications. Prints, scans, faxes, and copies. Legal-size flatbed. Automatic document feeder

Relatively slow for photos. Photos on the recommended photo paper aren't smudge- or water-resistant

The HP Officejet Pro L7680 isn't quite a match for color laser AIOs, as HP claims, but it comes close. More important, it's a lot of AIO for the price.

Shoppers should note that the L7680 is the middle model in a good-better-best trio: If you can live without the color LCD and duplex printing, and make do with letter- instead of legal-sized scanner glass, you can save a C-note by picking the Officejet...

HP Officejet Pro L7680

As an Officejet it is unlikely to ever get past the ‘lounge police' partly because it is not small but mainly because it is black with grey sides, shame really as it is a nice MFU.

Firstly for those occasional readers an MFU (Multi Function Unit) has fax capabilities whereas the AIO (All In One) does not. Both have the ability to print, scan and copy. It is 54x42x36cm and compare that to a lot of similar machines and you will see...

A good deal!

Download the drivers off of HP's page, do NOT use the CD's in the box, trust me.

Can't beat the price. Fast prints, decent photo quality (better than I expected). After initial setup, networked it, and is working like a charm. Lots of options, the software plays well with Vista and XP and the network. (Not the version on the CD's,...

It will take a good 20 minutes for the printer to go through all the motions of the intialization, *before* you can install the drivers. Read a magazine while your waiting for this thing, it takes forever and sounds like a crippled autobot attempting...

Poor Quality Product, undependable

Poor tech support. Called about 3 times to get the ink door part replaced- sent wrong part twice. Had to go back to my old Brother Laser fax/copier. HP used to sell high quality machines. I have a Laserjet 4 from 14 years ago which never has had any...

Fast when it works. Lots of features. Wireless network printer

Multiple problems with printer. 1st printer would receive faxes with half the page missing. Printer heads on two machines have failed after about a year. HP would not replace one under warrantee and wanted me to buy a extended warrantee when the heads...
