HP Photosmart Plus (B209a-m) inkjet multifunction

 

HP's mid-range inkjet multifunction printer has integrated wireless networking

Prints quickly, touch-screen control panel, integrated Wi-Fi

Touch screen is too small, poor photo print quality, expensive consumables, no CD/DVD printing, can’t choose quality settings when scanning directly from the multifunction

We were largely disappointed with the HP Photosmart Plus' photo print quality and the inability to select quality settings when initiating a scan from the multifunction itself. It will produce decent quality documents, however.

HP makes things easy from the get-go. The HP Photosmart Plus B209's installation wizard includes a library of animated instructions for setup and basic operation. The control panel features a 2.3in colour LCD, surrounded by touch-sensitive LED buttons...

The HP Photosmart Plus packs a lot of performance into a low-cost MFP package, with well-priced inks to boot. Other models in this price range can't boast quite as much.

HP's Photosmart Plus has a 2.4in touchscreen, PictBridge and a selection of memory card slots for direct printing.

A high-quality MFP that can print usable documents at 17ppm. It's marred only by flawed drivers and imperfect photo prints.

This is our second B209a. Why? because it does what it says it will do very well and is easy to operate. As to ink usage, if you're gonna get good prints, you're gonna use ink! As to that I get 16 re-filled cartridges on E-Bay for $44 dollars and they...

Poor Ink Life but excellent form factor

 

Prints really well. Very noisy, and I was deaf before I started using it. is terrible. Have already changed cartridges 3 times for lower than normal usage. I like the scanner and form factor, however.

sorry HP, you're down many points on my scale for this printer. I've moved over to Canon.

INK HOG! Might get two pages per cartridge if I'm lucky. It seems like every time I need to print, the black cartridge is low. Also, this thing takes forever to boot up. It runs it's diagnostic/calibration test for like 3 hours before it prints a dang...
